are these the same type of supplements?

I noticed that Reduce XT claims to have "anti catabolic" properties

They have the similiar action but are entirely different compounds. Reduce contains 7-hydroxy dhea, while Retain contains a matrix of anti-cort ingredients like BAET, Relora and 7-Keto.

interesting so which one is preferred by most?

and would there be any benefit to stacking them?

They will both prevent cortisol, I have always used Reduce XT. But will now switch to X-Lean.

There both good... it's just a personal preference as to which one you want to use. I wouldn't stack'em though, inhibiting too much cortisol could give some annoying sides like joint and ligament pain.

Probably because it contains both actives of Reduce and Retain, but in smaller doses.
