NOW THIS MAKES MUCH MORE SENSE!!! I can do this.....how about

The math is correct but the application is not congruent to practical economic structures. You and your 300 million friends will all have to buy gas eventually. I know this, you know this, and the energy market knows this fact too.

There is a whole infrastructure beyond the "work commuter" gas market, namely the entire manufacturing and distribution networks that serve the world economy are driven by some kind of oil based fuel product. Once you factor in the agricultural and food distribution networks into the equation, you will see that the majority of the oil market is not voluntary.

Gasoline prices are based on what the market will bear.

Now, say if some foreign oil producer such as Iran or Venezuela were to start "over producing" and price dumping, then we would see some lower gas prices!... you know until the inevitable regime change!

Went looking for this. Dumbest concept ever.

Just get the entire world's economy to die and then you can lower gas prices.

Actually the other companies will increase prices due to the bigger demand of gas they have that isn't covered in goods. Why do you think OPEC is reducing the oil production? Neat idea, but made by someone with no economic thought.

Look up oligopoly on wikipedia if you want to learn more.
