Ok, so let me explain. First of all I'm an ex D1 football player, I've been lifting since I was 14 years old, I'm probably 14% BF, and I use 500mg of Testosterone Cypionate a week. Boom. Thats me.
I notice whenever I realllllly push myself on Leg training days I wind up more nauseated than I did when I use to run stadiums. I am weak, can barely stomach fluid much less a banana. So, the other day after nearly crashing my car on the way home after smashing legs I stopped at a gas station and bought a pack of Reeses. I noticed within 5-7 minutes I felt like a new man. You know, that refreshed and renewed feeling you SHOULD have post workout. So, being the self prescribing specialist I've always been I bought a sleeve of Tropical Starburst and a 32oz Blue Powerade for my next leg day workout. I absolutely destroyed the workout. I'm not even particularly sore and I went heavier than I have in months and certainly longer. I truly believe whether physiological or psychological, consuming quick sugars during a workout will change your entire lift. Today I was hitting my shoulders and I found the Starburst pack I had left on a machine two days ago. It still had about 4 pieces left in it so I ate them for the rest of the lift. I went from doing 95.lbs standing behind the neck press to 4x12 135 lbs. Hang clean front squat thrusters.....I'm not kidding, maybe its the fat kid in me, but some sugar during my workout changes everything.
Anyone else??
