I'm 3 weeks post surgery. Just getting back at it. Have mesh implanted. Wondering aside from the obvious, anything to focus on and or avoid. Gots to get back to the gains. But obviously can't suffer any set backs. Anyone else have any experience with this? Thank you in advance!

I went through it a couple of years ago. I cheated in the sense of getting back into the gym early (treadmill walking about day 3; fairly high intensity elliptical about day 5; weights about day 10 - though I think avoided leg work until about week 4). I just took everything easy, pyramiding up from light weight and paying close attention so I could back off if I felt anything wrong. It didn't take too long to be back to business as usual.

I truly appreciate it. I guess the key is to be patient and keep the ego at the door. High reps at 50-75 percent seem to be working fine. Gonna wait a few weeks for Deadlift and squats.
It's a process but I'm feeling good. Encouraged by your quick progress, thank you!
