Hey, I bought 2 more bitcoins at $5100 last week and just sold them for $6300 today. $2400 profit in a week is pretty damn exciting. The volatility is what is fun. You have to play the price, not the perceived value. I'm waiting on Litecoin to hit $70 again because I bought 100 of them at $40 and my sweet spot is a $3000 return on those.

Hard to say, but likely the current chain will remain as the primary. There is support on both sides and the miners want the split for better returns, but who knows- it really depends on who the large miners support. There are a lot of eyes on it now because people believe that if the fork happens without any disasters, that everyone owning bitcoin will then also be granted the same amount on the secondary chain- which in testing is showing a value around $1k each right now.

I was thinking it would be a pretty far shot for people to abandon the original. But I still am learning more everyday.
I’ve been reading a lot and I’m starting to understand it a little bit more and the lack of replay protection doesn’t bother me as I intend to hold both after the fork, and trading on an exchange isn’t at risk for replay attack anyways, if I understood it correctly? I was worried that if the majority of support moved to the new chain, BTC price would drop and I’d have to frenzy and sell before I lost it all. But then the second chain would likely just continue to rise in place of it, and I technically wouldn’t be losing any in the long run?
I’d also like to see ETH and LTC gain some upward movement as they are getting depressing to look at everyday. Lol
Are there any unbiased sites you recommend to read more on for current news? - 11-01-2017, 07:52 PM

I'm about to buy a few hundred different alt coins and see if I can sell them off after the fork and make a little profit to put back into Bitcoin when the price drops after the fork.

In for knowledge, i have a few eth and ltc (nothing major) but may look to stack more on over the coming months.....
Interested on views around where others outside of bitcoin will go? - 11-09-2017, 10:04 AM
I am keeping all my litecoin for the long haul. It isn't doing much even after news from bitcoin, but at the price, it is worth riding out in my opinion. Plus, more places are accepting as payment so I think that support is always good.
As far as Bitcoin- lol, who the hell knows. They predicted a big sell off yesterday and that didn't really happen, but the price is steadily going down. I am waiting until the chance of $6500-6800 and then buying a couple. I feel like it is going to rally in the next couple weeks after people shake off the fork.
My golem continues to stay steady doing nothing. haha, but I keep it because I believe in the concept. - 11-09-2017, 11:08 AM
I had never seen golem but it definitely sounds interesting after reading about it.
I woke up yesterday planned to buy a few more LTC as I was expecting it to rise, but I was too late and it had already gone up ~$10. If it drops again I definitely plan to grab a few more. - 11-09-2017, 12:07 PM
So whats the crack with ethereum?
Honestly ive done minimal research at the moment and will obviously do a lot before making any substantial investment but is it an over simplication to say that at some point vendors will possibly just accept 2/3/4 major crypto's (like visa and mastercard....)......in which case isnt it likely to at some point balance out with bitcoin, eth and ltc all worth similar?
Whats making bitcoin so much mote valuable? - 11-09-2017, 12:47 PM
Bitcoin is the first and most well known crypto so all eyes are on it. Plus it has a much lower overall distribution life, meaning there will never be more than 21mil coins produced, so the value goes up and the mining difficulty does as well.
Alt coins will have their place, but it remains to be seen where and which. Ethereum will always be here (it's a platform) and I believe Litecoin will have it's spot. I invest in them because they have a defined place in the market. I invest in Golem because it is something I truly believe will take off and will be used in the future. I have 5000 gnt right now and will likely add to that. - 11-09-2017, 01:00 PM

It's essentially a way for people to pay to use others compute power when they aren't using their computers. If interested, I would look it up. A fundamental understanding of cloud computing would be helpful, but not necessary.

What a difference a day makes! Everyone dumping bitcoin and putting it in Bitcoin Cash. Luckily I woke up early and sold fast, only took a $500 hit. Had I waited a few hours that would have been $4k lost. Doesn’t look like any slowing down either.

I've opened an a/c with Coinbase but can't get my CC registered even though my country of residence is supported.
Emailed them & all I received was an auto-reply that their CS is super busy etc...
Anyone has a tried and trusted to recommend other than Coinbase ?
