Zinc picolinate, magnesium glycinate, p5p all in one

I have separate bottles of zinc mag and p5p. Does anyone know of a all in one that includes these forms. I take 15mg zinc, 400mg mag, 100mg p5p

I'm not familiar with anything right off hand.

One of the reasons is that Magnesium Glycinate has such a low % of elemental Magnesium. If you are taking 400 mg. elemental, then that requires around 2900 mg. total Magnesium Glycinate since its only around 14% elemental.

2900 mg. x 14% = 406 mg.

The max volume for size 00 capsules is approx. 750 mg. per capsule on most things, so that's 4 capsules to itself.

I see. You should make this for your zma product. Currently I am taking swanson mag glycinate at 3 caps a day. 1 zinc picolinate and 1 cap of p5p.

ZMA XT sells very well for us, so we wouldn't be able to change that one.

ZMA originally stood for zinc monomethionine aspartate; later some changed it to standing for zinc magnesium aspartate - so by either definition, the name is tied to the forms of the things in it.

I'd be open as to suggestions if people would like to see us do a different product though with different forms though.

If we did something for example like:
  • Magnesium Glycinate - 400 mg.
  • Zinc Glycinate Chelate or Picolinate - 30 mg.
  • P5P - 15 or 25 mg.

I'm pretty sure we could get that all in 4 capsules.

I had forgotten about that. I like Innovapharm - I use a lot of their Recover EAA.

If we did one, it would be similar to that but not exact.

Ya Innovapharm’s product or MST ZMK spring to mind (and I feel like a couple others but I can’t remember), but even those are explicitly Magnesium Glycinate.

Steve explained why tho better than I could.

I could imagine at somewhat of better price point. Individually I am paying less than $10 for 30 day supply of same above dosages

I forgot about this product. I got it free I think and remember I really enjoyed it. An SNS similar would be nice

Are those values/amounts elemental milligrams? As in, is the 450mg of magnesium 450mg of actual magnesium?

I assume so, as the %DV lines up with Steve's ZMA product and others.

I've used that as a gauge since protein bars back in the early 2000s would say "30 grams" of protein... but the %DV was NOT 60% (50 grams is the DV). That's when I realized gelatin can count as protein on a label, but couldn't count toward the %DV. I believe the same holds true when it comes to actual zinc, magnesium, etc.

As mentioned above should be actual elemental Magnesium amounts. The DV shows that by percentage.

I understand how annoying it is trying to decipher these at times with so many companies apparently not understanding basic labeling laws, but Innova does a good job here. When it states Magnesium (as …) it’s implying amount elemental then the (as …) is explaining from where. If it was listed as (for example) Magnesium Malate 450mg then you’d assume it is 450mg of Magnesium Malate. When listing in lower portion of the label that’s often how you’ll see it, so you’ll have to look elsewhere (usually above) to find where the DV and actual amounts of the vitamin/mineral is being provided. This is something which I notice is maybe how companies try to be deceptive like listing sodium (or other electrolytes) type in full amount there then you have to look elsewhere for how much of these various electrolytes are actually being provided (which is a lot less depending on the form used), again as an example.

Hope that helps. I know I too wish it was easier to decipher if companies actually labeled properly or were less deceptive. 👍

I refuse to buy protein bars with "collagen" or "gelatine" listed in their protein ingredients list

Complete Bar XT 😏

I would love for a day to come that we had the distribution reach to do a bar.

I never see this brand of bars get talked about, but they're excellent. I like the profile and they taste really good, especially for a clean bar.
