My primary care physician says that weightlifting is isometric and burns fewer calories than cardio, therefore to be healthy I should do cardio.
He says that BMI is a fine indicator of health. He doesn't care about lean body mass versus body fat %.
I guess he wants me to be a twig. I don't get it.
I'd like to find a smarter PCP. I already found Dr. John but his office is rather far for quarterly visits. What kind of doctor should I look for that understands men's fitness?
