Seemed to have added strength with a spotter. Felt pretty awesome!
I know at my gyms with pretty lowbrow bench setups I can get into a far better position and slide my head further down the bench when I have a liftoff keeping me clear from hitting the J hooks on the ascent... personally.
Maybe I'm way off my rocker but I like being clear of the hooks and unless I feel pretty much directly under them unracking maximal weight just seems like murder on the shoulders to me?
