This is a big deal for me. I’m really excited and proud that I have broke past 210. It has been a journey but I’m very excited to have hit and past that milestone.

Also on another note. I have been a lot more stressed this week. We are out of room in the place we rent. Are lease is up in December. We have found the place we want to rent for the remaining year we plan on staying here. Trouble is I have to lease it next month. That is going to be a double whammy paying the deposit and rent on 2 places for 2 months. Not the end of the world financial wise it just sucks because it’s like throwing money away but the drawbacks of renting and leases.
The good news is rent prices have dropped substantially so its a lot more budget friendly.

You are NOT throwing your money away - if you don’t move on this, you have stated you won’t get the place. But you have determined that this is what’s best for your family’s wellbeing, all things considered.

So reframe it: this is an INVESTMENT in securing ideal living conditions for the next year for your family.

You’re doing what needs to be done, Dad - and sometimes that’s going to be the tough thing 👍

Very good points, and after some negotiation back and forth today we ended up signing. Move in day negotiation for November 18th.

This is what we needed another room bigger square footage and a 2 car attached garage, a large backyard so the kids and dogs have some room to play.

Also on the very edge of town, real quiet neighborhood.

It gets better I’m even closer to the gym now 😂

So big weight off my shoulders today.

Congrats man! Always a great feeling when you achieve a long term goal you've set for yourself. Be proud, your discipline is paying off!

Had a good check in yesterday, despite being a little stressed and hectic last week stayed on plan and checked in at 207#

Next week I will be wrapping up my 8 weeks with @MrKleen73 , me and the family will be off next weekend for are annual trip down to Kansas, hunting, grandparents farm etc. be there for 8 days then we come back it will be time to move into are new place. Try to get that taken care of by end of November. Will be off another week for thanksgiving, part of that will be moving the other part will be going to the other grandparents for thanksgiving and pheasant hunt.

So November going to be busy hectic all that. December should be moved and settled in. I plan to hop back with coaching starting January.

My thoughts are keeping cutting make a push for 190 ish and then come January end cut and start adding some new muscle.

Just keep leaning into your diet as you stay active! You can definitely still make progress on your cut, and that should be your focus despite the break from coaching.

you've worked really hard, and maybe equally or more importantly, consistently towards this, good work and congratulations on the milestone!

Working with @MrKleen73 honestly has been really great for me have made a ton of progress and learning very valuable information. Have definitely been on a hot streak, training has been great and results have been beyond expectations.

dang 6'1" and 190lbs should be pretty dang lean!
I have a buddy in his 50s, ex baseball player, who is 6'2" and he eats an egg with a glass of chocolate milk every single night to try to keep from dropping under 170lbs lol I've only been under 170 twice in my life, high school wrestling, and like 15 years ago when I cut waaay too far to 168.

@akboom87 It has been awesome working with you too. I am really looking forward to working with you on the way back up. I was going to tell you this week it is time for a deload week, looks like your body is telling you now. We have been beating your body up pretty good, a lot of high effort training with good volume and intensity. I am sure your body needs some extra recovery. So plan on deloading next week.

So just curious anyone hear about this Jeff Nippard and Van Wyck thing? Seen a video but hard to tell what took place because all it showed was Van w. Catching nippard right in the throat.
I watched that, pretty wild I like Big Mike's training stuff but him picking on such a little guy compared to himself. Like he threatened that one taller guy last year at am expo, told him he would take him out in back and beat him. The guy jumped at the chance. Told him c'mon man, lets go outside. Let's do this, take a lunch break and let;s go. Mike didn't move... This time a 5'6 guy who is completely unsuspecting you attack... Weak sauce. I know Jeff pressed charges and Mike turned himself in and immediately bonded himself out. I am curious how all that will go down but the reality is some people will hate Mike now, others will love that he took no crap and follow him more. He will probably get a fine for the infraction, maybe do some silly community service or something, and it will all be over. I am curious if they will keep him on Bro Chat since so many people turned on him and that is the number 1 bodybuilding podcast on youtube.

Yeah, it’s pretty cut and dried. It really even sounds like Jeff didn’t do anything to provoke any of it, nothing inflammatory or disrespectful either - but beyond that, assault is assault. It wasn’t self-defense or anything: Mike was just pissed off and shoved Jeff by the throat.

No different than someone road raging or being a dick in any other fashion. Your feelings are not valid excuses to violate the laws protecting other people.

I’m pretty sure little Nip isn’t an angel in all of this. We are only seeing CCTV and his camera guys clips. The part where he verifies that his camera guy is filming as Mike approaches is suspect. I’m sure Jeff chirped at Mike and has in the past in regards to “Bro-Science” vs. nerd science. I thought the vid that Big Mike made was more reference to RP Mike referring to not amounting to much in the BB world ie NO PRO CARD. Jeff Nip is a IFBB Pro and he did run a vid w Big Mike in the background rattling off all of Jeff’s accolades. I myself, identify as a Van Wyck trapped in a Nippard frame.

I am a self-proclaimed smart ass but I also know not to chirp out of my weight class. I have had my ass handed to me by bigger guys for being “more clever than the room” let’s say. I didn’t call the cops, I didn’t press charges, I took my lumps and ate a slice of humble pie.

Yes, assault is assault. But just because someone MAY be intellectually superior to someone it doesn’t mean that they can linguistically clap and not expect to ruffle any feathers. (Jared included). What Mike did was wrong but NO WAY IN HELL was Jeff just standing there minding his own business and this came out of no where.

Maybe my opinions on this differ from anyone right around 40 and younger. I work w a Cvnt like this. He instigates in a passive aggressive manner and then plays the victim when I retort.

But I’m a big fan of “Don’t start sh!t, won’t be sh!t” and…..

It wasn't out of nowhere, in Jeff's eyes he called him out as being a mediocre science based guy. So Jeff called him back out in a video and basically had a mic drop moment that made Mike look a bit silly. That is where the animosity came from.

You can actually watch what happened on the rest of Jeff's video on Greg Doucette's recent video.

I know a lot of the old guard has the talk ****, get hit mentality, and I am one of those guys. You run your mouth and tell someone you will whip their ass or they tell you if you keep mouthing off things will get physical and you continue then both parties are game and it is a go. However that does not appear to be what happened here.

Mike was pissed, and was showing his ass a little with the walking by and getting up in Jeff's face saying "SUP", and then told him "Oh things are about to get real funny." because jeff laughed about the wierd interaction. Then when Jeff finished his set and called out to Mike to try to talk to him about it he walks up and assaults him. That's not a case of 2 people in each others grill talking mess then fighting. Its a little guy who even put his hands behind his back to show he was not a threat being assaulted by a bigger guy. A bigger guy that was too afraid to get physical with the last guy he challenged that begged him to walk out side and do it because he wanted to fight Mike. I think that is my biggest part of what I don't like about the situation. He punked out when someone close to his size took him up on the offer to fight, but then goes right after someone 100lbs lighter than him. To me that just shows he is a bully because he wasn't willing to fight the guy who was an actual threat to him. That is where he loses my respect attacking someone who is obviously no threat, but backing down to someone else he himself threatened when they call him out because they would actually be a challenge for him.

In the end it is a shame because I like both of them for their content and information. However, I see what Big Mike did as chickenshit. If he was an I will fight all takers kind of guy that would be different but he cowered down and got behind people as soon as the other guy he threatened was excited to go outside and fight him, but attacks the much smaller guy without any warning of physical confrontation.

You r omitting the request by Big Mike and his crew to turn the camera and mic off after the “there’s a loading dock outside” moment. The Russian pranker w the scales crew said that it would be filmed for content. Then some dude gets in Mikes face and starts spitting this shiz about being an O.G. and brings up the word “murder”. Dude sounded like he had half a ball of coke stuck in this throat.

Also, I am saying these 2 both film at the same gym and I’m sure this wasn’t the first time there was an exchange.

Dave Tate talked about this on Table Talk. He also didn’t agree w it. Violence is violence. But he kept echoing one point that what made every safeguard or fiber of normalcy dissolve to potentially throw it all away? Also stating that he has had Mike at the table a couple times and didn’t see him as one that would act this way unprovoked.

Also, I tried to watch the Greg vid but his voice is too much for me. My dog gets bothered by it as well. Barks at the tv. It’s actually funny.

I’ll keep my “Pro Mike” stuff to my own thread.

Yeah I think there was some tension between the guys building up for some time. Feel like it could have been handled differently, but I was not there and not in the situation. Seemed a little over played on Jeff’s part the ct scan and hospital video saying how he was ok and all.

My point is, it doesn’t even matter what Jeff did. If I don’t like all the **** you’re talking to me, I still don’t have the legal right to swing on you. Now layer in that they’re both effectively at work, and it becomes doubly stupid on Mike’s part.

I have never liked Jeff, ever. And there’s plenty of times I’ve wanted to smash someone’s face for getting wise in public or at work. But 1st world society doesn’t work that way.

Guess I’m just not a member of 1st world society then…🤷‍♂️

I’m not disputing the legalities. That’s a “call it a career” moment if I do that at work w all the D.E.&I indoctrination meetings we have and the “Libby Loons” that run the company.

I just feel like Jeff may have had an idea on where this would end up. Might not have thought he was gonna get launched over gym equipment. But he made sure it was filmed and played the world’s smallest violin all the way to the E.R. for a C.T. scan. I know lawyers that coach people to place hands behind the back in a matter of public assault so it’s a slam dunk for a law suite.

Oh I am certain Jeff knew where it might go, the fact he put his hands behind his back as Mike approached was proof of that. I am also sure he thought he was going to get some great content and footage off of them having a confrontation. I think he got more than he expected and that he is sensationalizing the I needed to get myself checked out at the hospital stuff. Dude your head never hit anything. You navigated that throw and landing like an athlete. All that does is make him look like a little bitch. I am definitely not saying Jeff is 100% innocent, I am sure he was going for some good content, and he definitely got that.

As far as the expo I was talking about the other time not that Joey Stacks thing. That was nonsensical. This guy was taller than Mike and a lot slimmer, he was super chill, no yelling or anything. I think his name was Hunter or something. Mike threatened to take him outside and punch him in the face and when he was game, and said let's go outside, take a lunch and lets go Mike backed up, and his cronies got in. Funny thing is I tried to find it but you can't get anything but Mike and Jeff stuff now. I won't stop watching Mike's content, it is too valuable to me in that regard. I just respect him a bit less. The initial threatening someone and backing down when they were game did that already. It was a bit chickensh*t. This just solidifies my previous impression that he is a bit of a bully. It isn't a surprise if you listen to him talk it is obvious in the way he speaks and refers to others, but seeing it become physical with such a smaller man just rubs me wrong. I was the bully's bully when I was younger. I hated seeing people bully others and got in many scuffles over protecting people from bullies. So it is just a personal thing for me.

I don't really care what some smaller guy says to me, I am not going to lay hands on him unless I am physically defending myself. Well to be honest, I am not going to put my hands on anyone, smaller or larger unless I am defending myself or loved ones from perceived physical danger. As @Hyde mentioned there is no time it is acceptable to attack someone for making you angry. It just shows a lack of self control. I think it is a shame that Mike risked his livelihood for someone he could have just dismissed as a little twerp.

Honestly though, I think what set Mike off was the laugh more than anything. I can't think of anything more insulting than being laughed at when trying to intimidate someone. Hence the " Oh it's about to get real funny" comment. I think the laugh was what turned things physical. It would have pissed me off exponentially!

I don't think Mike will really lose too much ground financially. For everyone he turned off with this, there will be someone who was like finally someone punked one of these little A-holes. I imagine he will just lean into this like a Wrestler and just be the heel, make it work for him. I definitely don't want to see him apologize though, that would be insincere and would lose even more respect in my personal opinion. I mean it was obvious he was in complete control of himself and his temper. It was a decision not a reaction. You can tell simply because he did not try to hurt Jeff, he just wanted to make him feel powerless in that moment and he did that effectively. So apologizing would just be caving in to public pressure, not actual remorse. In that situation Mike should just lean into it and be like Yep, I am that guy, I don't feel bad about it and will deal with the consequences because I knew them when I did it.

OH yeah, @PolishHamm3r77 I laughed out loud at the Greg Doucette's voice making your dog bark! LMFAO!!!

Gee 250 calories, what a furnace 😝
LOL well that's just his nightly ritual. We were in Vegas at a work thing last May, the convention was like 9am to 4pm then we went to Top Golf for 2 hours, pounded one of their pitchers of beer which is like 3 pitchers in size, plus a jumbo plate of nachos, from there we headed over to a Rodizio place for all you can eat meat. I had to stop after I gained 10lbs and was rolled out of the restaurant. He had a piece of pineapple and said, "woah, that makes my stomach feel like I can eat more" lol, so he did. Then we get in the car and start heading back to the hotel when we pass a whataburger and he goes "you know, that looks awesome right now and I could eat again" 😅 😅 The guy can eat like crazy

guess who’s back…..
Well I moved up are vacation date a little early do to work and weather, so I left earlier then planned. Also this time I turned my phone to airplane mode and did not check anything the whole duration. Was a very nice getaway.

Had a great time, weather turned blah last few days lots of rain and wind.

Back home today and time to get back in the groove.
Pretty happy as it was a pretty relax week diet wise. But being back home this morning sitting right at 208#.

Feeling like my body adjusting to the drop in weight and I feel like I look better a week later, if that makes sense.

Will be meal prepping today, also starting to pack up and get things boxed and stacked in the garage.

Also another shout out to @MrKleen73 for the awesome coaching! I totally missed my last check in as we hit the road early and I completely spaced it out. Anybody looking for some coaching I can highly recommend!

Welcome back! Looks like you had a hoot. Man I’m jealous of all that airplane mode. I need that in my life sooner than later.

Me and the wife both did no internet no work emails it was glorious. At night we’d put the kids to bed and go outside and have a fire in the fire pit and look at the stars and hear the coyotes singing. It’s crazy how deafening the silence is out there after being in the city for a while.

Me and the wife both did no internet no work emails it was glorious. At night we’d put the kids to bed and go outside and have a fire in the fire pit and look at the stars and hear the coyotes singing. It’s crazy how deafening the silence is out there after being in the city for a while.

man that's a good sized yote.
And yeah, those days/nights out in the middle of nowhere, when you can't hear traffic etc, are incredibly therapeutic. I swear my hearing and vision both improve when I'm hunting in the field.

Great job not overdoing the calories while relaxing - you can really tell you have been making better habits and improving your lifestyle for your health!

Oh by far my senses really come back after being out there for a while. I can’t wait to move back. It was a healthy old male didn’t have my scale along to get a weight. Was hard calling this time around, they are just not hungry weather to mild and game to plentiful.

It has become a lifestyle change for sure and it really helps the wife is on board. We still did are morning and evening walks with the kids and grandparents along as well.

This week a little hard getting up, taking things a little slower and less weight to get back in the groove. Feeling really good. Not really following anything this week just kinda intuitive stuff and having fun.

IDK about your region but we've hit that point in the season where all the sudden it's still dark for the first 2 hours I'm at work, and it's dark long before I get home so the body is adjusting a little bit. won't take long though, and winter solstic is right around the corner. one of my favorite days of the year because the days immediately start getting longer after that 😂 🤘

Yeah the lack of daylight seems more pronounced this year. Also a week of no alarms got me spoiled 😂
