Day 18 10/19:

Weight: 198.6

Back is sore from the beating I put on it yesterday!

Got in and hit some chest and had a really good workout. I made sure to warm up slow and take my time with this right shoulder. Definitely felt much better warming up prior to the pressing movements. Did some light side laterals and really tried to lubricate my shoulder joint. Did some rotator cuff work too with some really light plates.

Workout:

Incline dumbbell press:

Decline barbell bench superset with cable pecdeck:
135x12 and 30x12
155x10 and 30x12
155x9 and 40x9

Flat bench hammer strength machine superset with incline dumbbell flys:
140x12 and 25x10
140x11 and 25x8
160x8 and 25x8

I modified the fly movement as taking it really wide seemed to cause my rotator some issues.

Had a great workout and my strength is increasing slightly. I think if my shoulder wasn’t bothering me id feel more confident pushing it but I am making due.

Diet:
Calories: 2030
Protein: 220gms
Carbs: 119gms
Fats: 75gms

Did my cardio and headed home.

Day 19-21 I took off from the gym as I wasn’t feeling very well at all. Achey and overall just blah. Slept a bunch and took naps to try and moved beyond whatever it was.

Day 22 10/22:

Weight: 199

Got in and hit some arms and shoulders together as I missed a couple days.

Workout:

Tricep pushdowns superset with hammer curls superset with side laterals:
60x15 and 25x15 and 15x30
80x15 and 30x12 and 20x25
100x12 and 35x9 and 25x20
120x8 and 35x8 and 20x20

Overhead tricep extension superset with bicep barbell curls superset with reverse pecdeck with cables:
50x12 and 40x15 and 20x15
60x10 and 50x12 and 20x13
70x8 and 60x9 and 30x10

Dip machine tricep focused superset with single arm concentration curl superset with smith machine shoulder presses:

140x12 and 35x12 and 90x15
150x11 and 40x8 and 140x12
150x10 and 40x8 and 140x12

Had an excellent workout and the pump was out of this world.

Final Review:

Starting weight: 192
Ending weight: 201 (+9)

Thoughts:

Started the run at 192 and ended at 201 so a gain of 9 total pounds. Shoulders filled out the most but the rest of my body definitely took on a much rounder and denser look.

I started the run on around 1400 calories, having worked them down over the last 3 or so months. About a week and a half in, once I upped the dose to 3 caps a day I noticed I was extremely hungry. It was BAD. I had planned a diet break for a week and then decided to finish the run on the higher cals. I ended at around 2010 with 220gms protein, 170gms carbs and 50gms fats. I am very happy I made that decision.

Strength didn’t go up a ton but I didn’t expect it to as I was coming off of some really low calories and wasn’t eating a big surplus, although as funny as it sounds 2000 calories for me is a lot. The pumps and vascularity were increased big time. I didnt experience any back pumps and no headaches to speak of. Overall it was a very pleasant run that I was extremely happy with.
