start dipping.. skoal mint
I feel u threadstarter. I am trying to quit dipping copenhagen. I just started to use Phenibut-XT in hopes it with help with the aniexty that comes with trying to quit. I will let u know how it goes. The calming effects so far have been great.
i was just kidding with that start dipping post, lol, i was addicted to dip, going through about 3 cans a week for a couple years, what i did was weaned down to skoal pouches, then skoal bandits, for a while, a couple months, then one day i threw the can out and said no more, that was it, i haven't dipped since, but let me tell u, i get the cravings all the time still, and its been over a year, its hard, i have come so close so many times but haven't.. thats the way to do it... by the way dipping is 100 times harder to quit then ciggarettes, i quit cigarettes easily.... not to mention the amount of nicotine in the average pinch of dip equals the same of about 3 ciggarettes.
3 cans a week thats weak man. Try 1 can a day lol.
oh there was a while there i was doing a can a day or a can every 2 days.. but for the most part it was about 3 a week
I dipped for maybe 2 months. I still get cravings...
I know this is an older post but for anyone looking for help quitting smoking try researching Orange Juice/Cream of Tartar Powder. Cheap and def helped me quit.
I drank a glass in the morning and at night before bed.
1) Don't set a date to quit
2) Drink 1gallon+ water a day
3) don't talk to yourself in your head trying to convince yourself 1 will be okay.
4) if you are about to smoke agian remind yourself of the reason your trying to quit in the first place.. all the progress you made will be wasted. do you really want to start all over?
5) remind yourself that your actions today affect you tomorrow
It has been 2 weeks for me since i last smoked. trying cold turkey. Almost smoked last night cause my pops went into the hospital.. but i didn't and im ok now
