TRT-Hole in rubber gray top of vial

I used an 18 gauge needle to draw from my TRT testosterone vial and it left a fairly large hole. I don’t think anything can get out, but I am worried it might be able to become contaminated.

I was drawing with an 18 gauge needle and switched to a 25 gauge needle for the injection in my stomach.

I had never used a needle this large before to draw from and had never seen anything leave a hole before.

Anyone notice this before? Any chance of contamination?

Thanks

It should seal but I'd switch to insulin syringes for sub-q injections. They do less damage to the stopper too.

Yes I have a gray top too and still being able to see the hole makes me uneasy. I don't use an 18g for drawing for that reason.

Been using 18 for draw for over 9 years with the typical grey topper, it seals up fine. I travel with it and have never had as much as a tiny leak.
