Hey guys,

I have been dieting/weighting/tracking everything for 3 years now and i have always have worried about sodium, don't ask me why. I think it is because i was afraid i would get to "full" of "bloated" (yeah I'm crazy) anyways my sodium levels were around 600-800mg a day. I just started going up and now I'm around 1300-1600mg a day. My question is can any of you guys provide info on how sodium reacts with the body so i do not have to freak out about going to 1900mg a day or something in that range. With the sodium levels i was at you can tell i only ate clean, chicken, rice, oatmeal, ect... so i want to broaden my horizon.

Thank you guys,
J

As long as you have no health concerns (CKD, high BP, etc)
It is fine

And the bloat is exaggerated, just keep fluid uptake up and your body will adjust.
In athletic individuals especially it is of little concern, and intake should be higher

RDA is 2300 mg but there is push to have that increased.
