Pepti-plex Review
Use:
-Since launch September 2023 until October 2024
-4 caps pre, 2 pre and 2 post, 2 pre and 2 later PM, and over summer during two per days 4 pre and 4 later PM or 4 pre lift and 4 pre cardio.
*maybe doesn’t matter, but most were bought month to month. Didn’t buy a years worth then feel like I “had” to use it, I found benefits profound enough that each month it made sense to continue use.
Major Effects:
-Increased recovery. Pretty much always felt ready for next training session, up to 50% longer training blocks before needing to deload.
-Increased muscle retention during deficit and/or increased cardio load. I held onto lean mass pretty easily during any training demands during last year.
-Increased progress. Was going to say strength or endurance, but makes more sense to me to just say progress. Allowed me to train harder, more frequently, and increase metrics at a faster rate. I train in similar “cycles” year to year and this felt better than last previous few.
-Increased non-muscular recovery. Keeping this broad, but aches and pains were farther apart and much less frequent this past year.
Overall:
Resensitization. Maybe not really occurring, but this is how it felt to me. Like I turned back the clock a bit and all my efforts moved the needle a little further than they had felt like they had the past few years.
Objective and Subjective measures:
-It is hard to have any concrete hypertrophic measures of progress or against the past right now, but I hit several all time personal bests on lifts. It is subjective, but I feel my overall body composition has shifted to being easier to hold slightly more lean mass while also being slightly leaner compared to baselines of the previous few years. Feel lighting is bad because I went on a vacation to warm parts of the world and I looked way leaner in pictures than I anticipated..
Front squat, high bar back squat, and deadlift all had personal bests while also being at a lighter body weight. Some areas that didn’t hit PBs (or unsure exact PBs), but I was pretty happy with were things like my Cleans, weighted pull ups, rows, etc. Contemplated listing actual weights (and prob gonna delete photos ) but idk if what I’ve actually hit matters as much as how I feel and the fact I still was able to hit new personal bests.
Overall love the stuff, I’ve actually been taking a break for over a month now. I went on a vacation and stopped everything, but haven’t added it in yet (have two bottles sitting and waiting for use). Excited to start back up again soon!
Top product of 2024 for me that I look to continue for the foreseeable future.
