Hi Everyone,

Programs like Body for Life and EAS research recommended to not eat until an hour after exercise before eating. My guess is that the continued effect of exercise helps growth hormone and insulin sensitivity.

But, is there any actual research on the topic?

Now that I have gotten more experience, my guess is that eating as soon after exercise is best?

Preferably the meal would be something like whey protein and maltodextrin, or whey protein and baked potatoes?

No lipids are good.

From what I’ve seen, if you ate before your workout and used intra workout carbs/eaa’s, then there is no need to rush to eat after. Studies have shown no real benefit to Immediately slamming a shake if you ate before your workout. Now, if you train fasted, you would probably be better off eating sooner as opposed to later.
