The Olympus Labs team has been growing lately, so we thought we'd take the time to introduce ourselves properly to the AM community. We're all on this journey together, climbing the mountain, so let's give each other the support to make it to the top and join the realm of the demigods on Mount Olympus!

Each team member will be introducing themselves over the next few days. Feel free to use this thread to ask us questions - What's our favorite workout routine? What's our favorite cheat meal? Do we enjoy long walks on the beach? Anything!

Let's start the introductions, shall we??

Name: Segansational
Height: 5' 6"
Current Weight: 161 lbs
Degree(s): BS Neuroscience, MS Cell and Molecular Biology
Training Experience: Started in '99, been training for about 15 years now.
Favorite Exercise: Barbell Rows
Favorite Body Part: Triceps
Greatest Athletic Achievement(s): Honestly, I was never an athlete. I was forced to play team sports, but never enjoyed them. Probably not the norm for most on here. I was never the fastest or the strongest. I hate cardio. So my biggest achievement was when I ran my first 5k. I've done multiple since then.
Favorite Workout Song: Forever - Drake, Kanye West, Lil' Wayne, Eminem
Hobbies: Outside of lifting, music is my other hobby. Grew up playing multiple instruments, piano, saxophone, bass - you name it, I did it. Nowadays I spend most of my free time playing guitar (self taught). It's the calming side of therapy, vs the aggressive side which I take care of with lifting. All about balance. Yin and yang. Zen.

Bio: Got into lifting back in high school and never looked back. The iron bug. At that point it was just me and a few buddies over the summer. Most have come and gone and now I walk the journey on my own. Weightlifting is really meant for the individual. I don't do it for others, I do it for me. I want to constantly improve myself. Push my limits. Test the human body. I don't call myself a bodybuilder, although that's the style of training I follow. That's what I would strive for aesthetically. But I have too much respect for those who are true bodybuilders, those who compete. This lifestyle takes discipline, hard work, time. Do I have what it takes? Maybe. I keep going at it day after day. At the end we'll see if the road I walked led me to my destination. Mount Olympus. I feel grateful to have joined the OL team, where I will continue my knowledge and growth.

If you have any other questions for me, ask away!

Now for the fun stuff...

Name: TheMovement
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 236lbs!!!
Degree: B.S. Athletic Training
Trianing Experience: 2 yrs officially under my belt
Favorite Excercise: Hang Cleans
Favorite Body Part: Lats
Greatest Athletic Achievement: Winning 1st place in my 1st PL meet last year. I got lucky then but I have a much larger meet in mind for February
Fav. Workout Song: War of Change (just puts me in a very dark place)
Hobbies: Outside of the gym I take time to sit and read. Nothing related to studies or cases just a little time to read a good mystery or some other form of a getaway.

BIO:

Well, I had the opportunity to play college football on the D3 level and I was just over 300lbs. Those days sucked for me as I was riddled with injury and high expectations from others that lead to bad decisions. I got to my senior year and busted my butt to make things right and now I hold a B.S. Degree and am working towards my USAW1 Certification along with working a few other jobs. I am beyond willing to devote the time now so that my family can have the best later. I like planning and working towards a goal no matter how small its a stepping stone towards something greater. I live to see others motivated and uplifted towards a greater standing in life and I myself grow a little each time this happens. I am currently 236lbs and my body has never felt stronger. I know that I have a ways to go but I am more than capable of not only rising to the occasion, but starting TheMovement!!!

Curious about more? Pm me or heck post away as I really am an open book

Height: 5'11"
Weight: 202
Degree: Masters in Logic
Training Experience: Seriously for 6 years
Favorite Exercise: Deadlifts
Favorite Body Part: Lats/Traps
Greatest Athletic Achievement: Every PR that goes down
Fav. Workout Song: Too many to narrow it down to one song. Anything fast and heavy that gets the head banging a little and make some angry faces in the mirror.
Hobbies: Discovering new music, going to concerts, snowboarding, wakeboarding, winning at corn-hole, anything that my kids want to do

Bio:

Well I'm an old school skater and a new school metal head. I may not look it so much on the outside anymore (because I'm bald), but I am the typical metal persona. It is my passion. The heaviest of the heavy Death Metal. But I'm such a nice guy it takes people by surprise when I pull up blasting some ugly tunes!!! I still enjoy sports with a board under my feet, except now they are on the snow and water instead of the street. And now my sons, 18 and 15, enjoy doing it along with me and my Father. I'm all over the age spectrum with kids, I've also have 10 year old and 1 year old daughters. I find the greatest pleasure in the simple things, mostly in time spent with them and my best friend of a wife.
Fitness has been a doorway out of a far different life. I chose to walk a harder path for myself and everyone around me for most of my life. With fitness came a love for myself and the creation my body became. And now I'm a world away from that past.
I take pleasure also in helping and motivating people. I do it at work as a leader, and I try to do it around here. I'm high energy and sometimes my good intentions get in the way of my sensibility. So I'm always available for whatever area I can assist people in. If I know the answer, I'll give it. If I don't, we'll find it out together. Look forward to taking on this position and watching all you Demigods in training!!!

Name: Frankz2 (Zach)

Height: 6'7"

Weight: 273lbs

Degrees: BS Chemistry, MS Human Nutrition

Training Experience: Consistently, 4 years

Favorite Exercise: Overhead Press

Favorite Body Part: Delts/Traps (Sorry Abe)

Greatest Athletic Achievement: 34 points, 21 rebounds in a varsity basketball game, and state all-star qualification as a swimmer when I was 8 (guess I peaked early)

Favorite Workout Song: Depends on the mood, but either hip-hop or dubstep and I'm ready to go.

Hobbies: Spending time with my gf, researching, discovering music, and playing basketball.

Bio: Where to begin? As a kid I was always very athletic and active. Competed in every sport and loved it. Sophomore year of high school I moved across country and became pretty distant. Dropped all sports outside of basketball, played a ton of video games, and focused all my efforts towards my then girlfriend. Fast forward to my junior year of college where I found myself at 320 pounds an unable to see my feet or walk to the second floor of my dorm without panting. Obviously, time for a change. Fixed my dieting, began working out and lifting and just fell in love with the science of it all. The confidence gained outside of the physical aspect changed my life and approach to the world. Finished up school, went on to my Masters and have since completed that with the world set before me. Corny stuff aside, I'm a pretty normal guy who is as passionate about nutrition as I am about my terrible DC area sports teams.

If there are any questions or I missed anything just hit me up in the thread or through PM. Can't wait to continue sharing in this journey with the forum as the community I have found here is truly unmatched.

Hi, I'm Paulus.

5'8" little guy, used to compete in powerlifting in 181lbs weight class. I was moving to 198lbs class but injured my knee 6 days before meet. That's when my motivation took a hit - I don't look the same anymore, I don't lift those kind of weights anymore. But hell, I'm getting back on track again.

I like motorbikes and spending time with my girl. Don't really have much time for other hobbies, lol.

I studied tourism in the university of applied sciences but things may not always go like you planned. Now I'm working as a team leader of a big sales company - my team has 30 guys and I'm doing my best to treat them right. It's stressfull job but I love every second of it.

I apologize all of you guys for not being as active here as I used to be. I work long hours but I'm doing my best, trying to be able to spend more time here with you guys again.

This is what I used to look like and I'll be there soon again, I promise it:
