Hello AM members. I want to share with you my journey over the next 12 weeks, wherein I recomp(?), and, if you keep reading, you will soon understand why there's a question mark around recomp in the title as well as in this sentence. I started this cycle with a simple objective- cut some fat, gain some muscle. So, I planned to be a in a slight deficit. Those plans probably have to be revised, please keep reading. I would appreciate your input on this matter as well. I am already a week into this cycle.
So, about me. My stats:
Age- 23 Years Old
Height- 6'3
Weight- 89.3 Kg (as of today)
Bodyfat percentage- 4.4%
Yes, you read that right. No, I am not bullshitting you. I don't believe it either. I got tested today at my gym, on the Inbody 270 machine, which is a bioelectric impedance machine. That's what it spit out- like Harry potter's name out of the Goblet. I was expecting something like 10-12% and umm, out comes 4.44%, what the hell? I thought the machine isn't accurate and the margin of error is probably big. However, some studies show that these Inbody machines are actually very very close to a Dexa scan. So, it can't be that far off. The study I looked at- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30472111
Look, I look veiny and vascular, but my midsection is not as peeled as it should be at 4%. I have some thoughts on this. Maybe I hold too much water around my abdomen? It's squishy.
Maybe, all that fat that I do have right now is smack in the abdomen? Or, my abs are just not big enough? I have neglected them a bit. Always working on the other muscle groups. Also, I got tested after my workout- I hadn't eaten in 6-7 hours, had taken in lots of fluid. Does that mess things up? I will go fasted in the morning and get tested again soon. Day after tomorrow maybe. I will post some photos of how I look right now, in the morning, fasted, tomorrow.
Regardless of the accuracy of this result, I think it's improbable that I am above 10% BF. SO. My original plan to recomp doesn't make much sense. And if the test is actually accurate and I am around 6-4%, then I am actually concerned about going too low with my caloric deficit.
Skeletal Muscle Mass- 49.1 Kg
Body Fat Mass- 3.9 Kg (Apparently)
So, what am I going to do? Let's see what I am eating right now, and the cycle design, and I will tell you what I plan to do, given this surprising new information.
How am I eating?
I am eating exactly as I have been for many many months now. 2500-2600 calories. 220-250g protein, under 50g carbs, and the rest is fat.
My maintenance calories are 3100-3200, according to the Inbody test, as well as a calculator made by Menno Henselmanns. It's a surprisingly accurate calculator, considering it doesn't have access to the kind of data the Inbody Machine does.
The Cycle Design:
Weeks 1-12 - Test 250mg/week (can experiment with a little higher doses If I feel like it)
This first week I actually took 375mg. Now it's 250mg here on out.
Weeks 1-12 - 10mg LGD 4033 and 10mg Rad 140, 10mg Mk677
Then a 5 week pct with clomid and nolva. Possibly, I will use only one. If they mess with GH and IGF, why take too much? Seems Stupid
I am not sure I will keep the Rad and LGD in for the entire 12 weeks. I am waiting on my bloodwork, a sample for which I submitted today. Depending on how my lipids are doing, I will decide. If any lipid value is even slightly out of range, I will probably yank them out after 8 weeks and quite possibly sooner. This is because I was reckless in my previous sarm cycle and was running too high doses, at chernobyl level cholesterol levels. So, I am quite wary of being out of range for now. I gotta ask you guys a question, if the lipid values are out of range, I might try to switch them out for something injectable after 4 weeks, how about primobolan? Is this a good idea? Please advice. Yes, I shouldn't be changing the cycle mid-way, but this is not a hardcore cycle at all, and I am fine with a little bit of controlled experimentation, to see what works best for my body.
So, What Am I planning to do?
For the first 4 weeks, I will eat like how I have described above and see what happens and where my body composition is at in a month. Then, I will go upto my maintenance calories in the second month, and depending on what happens, maybe go into a surplus of no more than 200 calories per day in the last month. So, my cycle might resemble a reverse pyramid protocol. I think that's not a bad idea at all. Makes sense to me, start out lean, get leaner, and see how much muscle you can add with the least amount of fat. I am fat-phobic, let's say.
So, tomorrow morning I will post some pics of my body, as well as share the results of my bloodwork one week into the cycle.
