Looking for a solid protein bar (no more Sustain?)

Is NP out of Sustain bars or have they been discontinued?

If discontinued, anyone know why?

Does NP have a separate section containing just bars - I don't see one?

Can anyone recommend a good protein bar? Thanks.

i didnt think they were getting rid of the bars...i knew the stopped making the protein but hadnt heard about the bars.

Well there's not an "add to cart", so I'm not sure. I hope not - those were good and I liked the fact they were only sweetened with honey.

I searched on the main forum and found the following for other options:

Among those recommended, Optimum Protein Diet Bars looked OK. There never is any real consensus in the threads I've reviewed. Everyone has their recommendations, mostly based upon taste, and it doesn't leave me feeling great about the options.

I like having them around for on-the-go or to eat as opposed to even less healthier options when traveling and hungry between meals.

yes, the VPX Zero Impact Bars...good nutritional profile (didn't think the Sustain Bars were that great)
I liked the Peanut Butter ones, but they seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth...

I was going to say VPX Zero Impact too. I liked both flavors. I also like that they aren't as liable to melt in summer heat.

I do also like the Prosource "Carb Conscious" Supreme Protein bar. But the ZI bar is more comparable to the Sustain bar.

Sup guys. I also recommend the VPX bars. Both flavors are awsome and I can't wait to try the new flavors. These bars aren't dry and they don't have an aftertaste. They're creamy and delicious almost like eating a brownie. Love em.

Also the Supreme Protein bars are also amazing, but they're more like a real chocolate candy bar type of bar. I would go with the carb concious ones as the energy bars have alot of sugar.

Other than these two the best I've tasted are the Oh Yeah bars, but I don't think nutrition-wise that it is better than the other two i mentioned.

So basically #1 recommendation is VPX. :head:

One more thing, the two bars I mentioned beats the sustain bar hands down on taste and nutrition, and I went through like four boxes of sustain bars.

As much as I loathe to recommend VPX, I would have to agree that if the Sustain bars are not available these would be a great alternative.

You can't beat the vpx pumpkin. Best protein bar I ever had by far. Even if I was a regular dude I'd choose the taste of this over something like a snickers.

For those less concerned about sugar and fat, I tried a PayDay Pro today. Tastes just like a payday, with 15 grams of protein from Milk Protein Isolate and Whey Protein Isolate.
