Forearms, shins and the tops of your feet are all good targets. Like you said, anywhere the skin is relatively thin.

When I'm burning fat my urine takes on a different smell especially if I've had coffee.
Not sure why this is still on my mind but that's a separate discussion... I bet the pee smell was from the asparagus.

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! Still at 2ml (1ml) twice per day. I started getting a very light rash on my arms this weekend so I started alternating applying to inner thighs and shins in the evenings and then arms in the morning. The rash is gone now so it obviously as very minor.

Great workout this morning!

Flat bench
45x15
75x8
95x8
115x5
125x3
135x3
140x1
135x3x3 sets
115x8
95x8 pause
(Got in my head and really struggled with 140-didn’t get a full 2nd rep. So went back to 135 to be able to get sets of 3)

Flat DB bench
55x7
55x6
55x5
(Each of these were just before failure)

Incline bench
95x7x4 sets

Machine flyes
115x10x3 sets
100x10x2 sets

Plate loaded dip machine
2 plates per side x10x4 sets

I was actually able to get more today than expected on DB pullovers! Told my buddy that I was going to try to get 5 reps with the 105# DB but since I was able to get 5 easy enough, I made it into 8. I much rather prefer days like this over the other days where I can't seem to get out of my own head!

I had to look that up...you’re a brave soul! Lol I can’t believe you don’t like sushi but you like that. Haha

Nice!! Despite that one set, everything else was great! I think I’ll be moving to the 60’s very soon. 55’s almost felt too easy.

Haha I love chicken too! I wasn’t a sushi fan until after my son was born. Started with the cooked ones ie: California roll and Philadelphia roll...then worked my way to tuna and salmon. I’m not a fan of white fish, eel, sea urchin or anything like that but I do love the salmon/tuna. Sake is pretty dang good too! 🤣

So apparently everyone is realizing they fell off the wagon with the new year resolutions and summer is around the corner- because the gym is getting more and more busy. I was more or less making up my workout as I went on today due to lack of options. Still had a good workout.

Worked in a good bit of stretching and other work to help with some long term hip issues that have been bothering me.

Conv. Deadlifts
45x8
95x8
135x5
185x3
225x3
255x3
275x1
255x3x4 sets

Single arm high row
80x10x4 sets

Supported TBar rows
2 plates x7x4 sets

Wide grip pulldowns
120x12x4 sets

Seated cable row
120x12x4 sets

Straight arm pulldowns
57.5x12x4 sets

Concentration curls
25x8x4 sets

DB curls
20x12x3 sets

Cardio

Today is officially 1 week. Not much to note physically yet. Possibly a little leaner but too soon to really tell. I did take measurements on day one to be able to compare at the end though...I definitely notice a bit of a thermogenic effect as well as a cooling effect of the skin as noted before.

It’s Friday Eve!! My Friday- bc I don’t work on Fridays. Woohoo! Things are going well...clothes actually feel a bit looser?! I wear scrubs so hard to really tell but feeling good. Still at 2ml split am/pm. Applying to inner arms in the morning and behind the knees and along the shins in the pm.

Had a good workout this morning despite having a good bit of soreness still as well as a catch/tightness under my right clavicle area. Added in a good bit of stretching for my neck, chest, and shoulders throughout my workout.

Iso lat shoulder press
35x12
55x8
**warmed up with these since the bars were taken...jumped as soon as I could to grab a bar.

Push press
75x8
95x5
115x3
125x2x2 sets
125x1
115x3x3 sets
**these went much better today than last week. Managed to scrape my chin with the bar on one of my 125 sets. So that was fun! Haha It didn’t break the skin or anything just grazed on the way down. 🤦🏼‍♀️

SS with Lateral raises
5x25x7 sets

Klokov press
45x12x2 sets

Tri set:
DB shoulder press
35x10x4 sets

SS with lateral raises (seated)

Band pull-a-parts and band over and backs throughout workout.

Rear delt destroyer set (dropset)
25x60, 15x30, 10x20, 5x20, band holds/pulse to failure

Face down front lateral raises
15x15, 10x20, 5x30 dropset

Cardio/ab work

Crazy to think we are still bumping food from when we first started at 1400 calories to now 2650.
You are killing it, and only up 6 pounds in the process but a HELL of a lot stronger.
Keep crushing it Kat.

Day 11:
Measured my waist just because...and it’s down just over 1/2” That’s awesome since I’m not in a deficit!! I took a shower after coming home from the gym today so I applied 1ml again after my shower. Also...I have had the HARDEST time opening the silly child protected lid- UNTIL I realized if you squeeze the sides instead of pushing down- it opens right up!!!!! FINALLY!!! I felt so dumb trying to get it open! Lol

Leg day-

Warmed up with some banded(hip circle) walks and walking lunges while waiting on a squat rack to open up.

Squats
95x8
135x5
165x5
185x5
205x1
225x0 ugh just not the day for it.
185x8x4 sets
135x8x2 pause squats
**everything felt super heavy today failed 225 - so dumb. Stripped the weight and reloaded 185 and just went for more reps today.

Leg press
4pps(463) x12
5pps(553)x12
6pps(643)x12x3 sets

Calf press
3pps x25x3 sets

BB Hip thrusts
275x10x4 sets

Leg extensions
130x12x3 sets
Last set dropped did 55 to failure

GHR
5 sets of 12

Good workout despite squats not going the way I planned. Had 2 different guys come up to me complimenting me and offering to spot me etc. I know it’s dumb, but it was encouraging. I’ve struggled a good bit emotionally for the past few years. Not to mention, with this dumb pandemic, it’s made things harder to make gym friends etc.

So I was meal prepping tonight and I planned to cook 2 cups of (dry)rice...was trying to do too much at once and got to thinking about the amount of water I’d need - and I measured 4 cups of dry rice!!
IMG_8486.JPG

SOOOOOOO MUCH RICE!!!! So I made preworkout and post workout rice “pudding”, had rice for all of my work lunches as well as ready to go bags. 🤣

I haven’t needed to do a full prep, in a while, since I had several premeasured bags in the freezer as well as leftovers from previous meals with the family. Not sure if you guys do that with your extras but it’s so nice to be able to grab a few bags out of the freezer and be ready to roll with the right macros!

It was good! I prefer cooking it in the almond milk- you get better overall flavor. I did put walnuts in there this time as well as some cinnamon. The walnuts add nice texture! I just can’t do oats...they kill my stomach!

Very nice!

Random but have you seen the hack where putting a little coconut oil in your rice when you cook it lowers the glycemic index of the rice? I think it was like 20+ GI points!

I’m not sure! But I know with sweet potatoes different cooking methods change the GI as well! I used to slice my sweet potatoes and steam them for this reason! I’m assuming it just breaks down the starch(or doesn’t) differently so that it’s digested quicker/slower?

It needs to be cooked and cooled typically overnight in the fridge. Changes the structure of the carbs to more resistant starches which are not digested and absorbed as much. Works with rice, potatoes, etc

Officially starting week 3...starting to feel good- overall feeling leaner as well as the warmth mentioned earlier. We keep the house about 65 at night with a big fan going so night hot flashes in that imo is impressive. I definitely think 3ml or higher is the way to go...just sucks that it disappears so quickly at those doses. Lol Very nice that you guys do regular BOGO sales. I also feel like this probably is best if you can run it 2-3 months or more. Not sure if you guys suggest cycling off for a bit?

Here’s today’s workout...

Deadlifts
95x8
135x5 Conv and 5 sumo
185x3
225x3
245x3
265x3
275x1x3 sets each with a 5 sec hold
225x5
135x8 sumo x2 sets

**All Deads were conventional unless otherwise noted. I have never really pulled sumo. Decided to do some light sets today to get the form as well as work on hip mobility. My hips are beyond tight.

Also superset with hip flexor work for my right hip to help with imbalances

Supported TBar rows
2 plates x7x4 sets

Single arm DB row
70x6
75x5x3 sets

ALT. Wide grip and reg grip pulldowns
120x10x4 sets - slow with holds

Stretchers
100x12x4 sets

DB curls
20x12x4 sets

Cardio/stretching/mobility

May not look like a lot but like I said earlier...everything was lit up!! Could have been all of the Deads that pre-exhausted everything but very happy with today’s workout. Saying that, as sore as I am already, I may be struggling for real tomorrow!! 🤣

Some people take a break from just about any supplement they use out of an abundance of caution but beyond that, I see no real reason not to use it as long as you'd like.

That was my assumption as I don’t see why other than the usual just giving your body a break from any/all supplements.

I’m still here, in case you were wondering. Things are still going well. Took a much needed rest day yesterday. VERY sore from Tuesday’s workouts and I believe it’s about time for some active recovery work. Was trying to hold out for when we will be on summer vacation but I guess that is still 7 weeks away. Lol

Anyways,
No new notes on the Ursa Major...things are going well. Still sweating a good bit. Feel like that’s most noticeable shortly after application. Throughout the day body temp seems pretty normal. Holding some water the past couple of days- hormonal probably.

Here’s today’s workout. Could definitely feel that strength was 100% with the soreness and everything but still a good workout and shoulders felt full in the end!

BB Shoulder press/push press
45x10
75x8
95x5
115x2x2
95x5x3 sets

DB shoulder press
35x8
40x8
40x7
40x6

SS w/
DB curls 20x15x4

Iso lat shoulder press
55x10x2
65x8x3

SS w/
DB curls 20x12x5 sets
& banded hip work

Machine reverse flyes
85x12x3

Face down front lateral raises

We are going to go to the mountains this year! Will probably take a few small trips to the beach too. What about you?

Day 18: Bottle #2 is getting kinda low probably 3 days left. Applied to upper arms and sides today and shins last night.

Excited for the weekend! We move our daughter back home from college for the summer. Taking a mini vaca/weekend trip. Excited to have her home! I love my boys but she likes to do girly stuff with me 🤣

Good workout today. Wasn’t anything exciting but was productive.

Warmed up with some banded(hip circle) walks

FYI if you exfoliate really well before applying Ursa Major, it almost feels like eviserate on your skin...I usually use an exfoliating cloth but since we are traveling I brought a new exfoliating sponge and use basic dove bar soap. (vs castle soap) I wish I would have taken a picture of my arms. The skin actually turned red. It’s wasn’t uncomfortable or anything. More of a satisfying heat and went away within 5-10 mins.
