Everyone says that core is the heart and soul of all training programs and frankly without the core, the upper and lower body means nothing. So my question is that if someone just specifically trains all aspects of their core muscles, would that be enough to stay reasonable healthy and fit for life?

I'm not talking about competition, bodybuilding, or aesthetics. Just the bare bone basics of staying relatively fit and healthy.

Thanks!

Wtf is "core"? Isn't that just a stupid personal trainer euphemism for what would previously have been called "abs"?
