Disappointment in waiting for items to be shipped

Have an order from the 9th Feb still not shipped due to 1 of the items waiting to be supplied on backorder. This would be fine however I was not told when I processed the order that one of the items was not in stock. I would have just left it out and the order would be here by now. Can't you add this into the system when the items are going to take a week to arrive so we know beforehand? Order contained

Unfortunately, the length of time it takes for something to arrive in the warehouse is difficult to project. However, when ordered, it should typically say out of stock or due to arrive in 1-3 business days. Please feel free to pm me your order # and I will see what is going on
