Clear Edge as a caffeine replacement?

Hi, I'm a newbie here.

I ordered 6 bottles of Clear Edge last weekend, and should receive them tommorrow or the next day, a great deal at 3.95 per.

The ingredience all look helpful for the alertness without simulant effect, but have any of you taken Propionyl-L-Carnitine by itself?

I plan to use the Clear Edge to cut back on caffeine. I will try it with a couple grams or so a day of piracetam, extra bacopa, rhodiola, and perhaps some idebenone, but I'll try adding these one at a time and to see the results. I shall test it with 5-6 tab doses at first, may go up to 8 tabs later if I need more, or down to 4 tabs if the other stuff potentiates it enough. I will test it without any caffeine and with a diet pop (any extra caffeine beyond a 12 oz pop would defeat my purpose).

Also, to Nutraplanet -- I'm very interested in that new endurance formula you people are working on with the more powerful cordyceps and etc.

Caffeine most definitely potentiates the effects of Clear Edge greatly. Propionyl-L-Carnitine causes an increase in general body energy (it is used as a treatment for Chronic Fatigue).

When I came across PLCAR several years ago, I was so excited that I could not wait to release it to the Bodybuilding world. Now that I have more control over product development and release, you will see quite a bit more of it. Any feedback you can provide is much appreciated.

As for the endurance supplement, the formula is complete. I am just awaiting the Cordy delivery.

This is a really good idea. I'm going to order some CE (have been meaning to for a month - Sam hasn't had everything in stock that I wanted).

I REALLY need to get off all stims for a while - have been abusing StimX and Venom a bit too much since 1/1/07.

If the stuff worked! Very pure quality in my opinion. I'm up to 6 capsules 2x a day (bottles going very fast) to feel any effect. I'm not fond of stimulants so i've used ALCAR, Taurine, or tyrosine to get me going throughout the day. This looked like a good alternative and very good price. I just feel bad for the ones that paid the full price for this stuff cause it's not very potent at all. I'm going to give syntrax celebro a try after this.

well... I seem to have a high tolerance to things. Drugs or supplements. I wasn't looking for a stim affect. Caffeine makes me nervous and I wasn't looking for that. I was looking for mental energy and focus. I notice slightly better focus but not so much mental clarity.

None of the ones I listed are stims. You must be rather sensitive. Thats a good thing when it comes to supplementing cause you notice the effects. It may do some good for you. IF it doesn't .. hey it was cheap!

It might be worth while trying a few of the ingredients in CE by themselves. PLCAR works great on its own. Glucuronolactone is great for energy and focus. vinpocetine is great for increasing overall blood flow to the body and mind.

Received CE late this afternoon

Yep,

I got the product about an hour before I went to workout.

I took 6 tabs and drank 24 oz of diet pepsi.

Didn't do much for the workout, BUT... I felt very sharp afterwards. I felt concentrated. Played some chess, and played very well. I like it so far.

I'll try more tommorrow, may add some deep breathing andmeditation.

Actually yes Clear Edge is a great replacement for caffiene. Im doing an expirement on my body right now, doing 125 mgs a day of caffiene,I also take three grams of alcar daily then I plan to go to clear edge.

I plan to stop the alcar and caffiene and just see how clear edge works. I havnt took caffiene in a while.Im testing caffiene , a mild dose,to see what if it is true id caffiene is or isnt good for musclebuilding, cortisol release , and creatine loading. I will excess after a month. Honestly I like the No Caffiene feeling better so far since Ive started Caffiene in the past couple days.

dsade you are right about Propionyl-L-Carnitine for chronic fatigue. I have lupus a auto immune disease, when I take clear edge MAN my energy levels are out of this world. The only side effect I have from Clear Edge is I talk really fast when I take to high of a dose lol.

This was one of the most intriguing aspects of PLCAR that brought it to myt attention back in '04. BTW...do a pubmed search on PLCAR and Testosterone. Good Stuff this is.

Wow... I feel amazing right now. It took about 2 hours to really kick in but once it did I have been in a great mood, sharp, motivating and ready to take on whatever. Really helps during the last 2 days of the work week.

Honestly, don't bother with the cerebro. Its not even in the same league as CE in effectiveness. Just wait till the new stuff comes out...

My net connection was down most of the day, so I'm posting late.

Excellent results so far, took my first dose about 4 PM yesterday, and went to bed about 12:30AM. I didn't feel like I needed sleep, yet I didn't have any problems going to sleep. I awoke at 6:45 AM feeling fine. I took 5 tabs CE with 12 oz diet Dr. Pepper and 2.5 grams of piracetam around a half hour later. I felt sharp all day, and in the afternoon I took another 5 tabs of CE with another can of diet Dr. Pepper, and then an hour later I played a game of chess. It was one of my best games in a long time. I sacrificed a queen for 2 minor pieces and it took 9 more moves to get my opponent in a position where he had to resign. I looked over the game afterwards and couldn't see anywere for him to improve after my sacrifice.

The chess games are just a test of sorts, what I really need to do is learn whole new profession in the next few months. The CE will help.

I've been cheating some so far with the diet soda (Dr. Pepper again today), but I've been feeling good. I added 6 grams of taurine and a gram of alcar to todays mix. I'm going to go without the caffeine the next couple of days.

Nope, the body adjusts, and I've used large doses taurine for a while now. Great for keeping BP within normal range.

I've just started on my third kilo of taurine in a row -- so it's been about 8 months since I started, but I think it took me about 8-10 days and I may have split the dose into 2 parts at first.

Yep, it does feel right to take it after workout rather than before. I'd never thought it out, I just started doing that.

Getting back to Clear Edge.... I still haven't tested it out absent of any caffeine. I had a hectic schedule this weekend as I wanted to photograph two events, and they both lasted all day -- Ice skating Saturday and gymnastics Sunday.

I have a Cannon DSLR with a fast medium telephoto and a telecoverter. I also have a Metz flash. After some practice I intend to do event photography with the camera tethered to a laptop, so I can immediately print out high-quality prints right there at the events I photograph. Also thumbnail prints will immediately be sent to a web site so that people can take their time and have order later from a lab I choose.

That's why I wanted the CE to keep me sharp. I worked with film cameras for several years a long time ago, but digital is a whole new learning curve. It's fun though. And the CE's been doing it's job quite well.

It's not that there is any kind of withdrawal, more like when you use 87 octane, switch to 93 octane, then go back to 87. It just becomes more apparent that you had been performing at a higher level.

I WILL give a more complete report when I use the CE without any caffeine (starting tommorrow I think). On the other hand I have already cut back from around 600-700 mg of caffeine a day before getting the Clear Edge, down to between 75-200 mg since I've started with the CE.

No negatives that I've noticed, just some positive extras -- such as reduced stress levels during workouts.

My initial dose of 5 caps this morning was without caffeine, and I still was very sharp, but I never took a second dose today as I wanted to test some remaining Millenium samples -- Cordygen5 and Citruvol at full servings and Carnage at 1/2 a serving, along with some Beta Alanine I had and 3 grams of Arginine that I had too. I also drank my first cup of brewed coffee in this last week. I then went to test it out on a stationary bicycle (Life Fitness) to see if I increased my endurance.

I like to do full hour tests, and I go by how many calories are burned in an hour as a decent way to compare improvement. I also pay attention to what levels I can keep up a good cadence or rpm level. Anyway, it has been one of my medium term goals to be able to burn over 700 Kcals in one hour since June 2006 when I started using the bikes to acheive some aerobic shape. I surpassed my goal today as I made 702 Kcals in one hour, and this was a big jump from my former best of 634 Kcals. I feel that some of the credit (maybe alot of credit) has to be given to Millenium Sports supps.

I know you cannot push your endurance supplement contacts any faster, but you can see my interest is high. I won't say any more, but keep us informed with developments.

The CE is effective without caffeine, very effective, but feels nicer yet with some caffeine added. Clear Edge works, even with tough conditions.

Not that much, given that some will be taking 4-5 caps per serving....maybe 75mg per 3.
