So, on a scientific level how essential are carbs for muscle recovery? Currently at like 5-10g of carbs a day on my little cut and I notice I’m not recovering almost at all. I have nagging injuries that are just not quite healing or doing well in general. Makes me wonder if glycogen restoration is necessary for general healing purposes. Maybe this is a noob question but I’ve not heard many people on keto complain of lack of recovery.
I’m leaning out really well! I’m just sore on a constant basis!

In short, they aren't. In short, everyone is different so YMMV and you may or may not prefer them in a recovery meal/shake/daily macro regiment.

I healed my shoulder tendinosis while keto so I don’t believe carbs are necessary. What kind of injuries?

Protein is necessary for repair. Increase protein content. How much protein and fat are you consuming? One can repair well on a ketogenic diet, and may repair better due to an increase of GH that correlates with a ketogenic diet due to lower insulin levels.
