4:3 on:off carb cycling calories

If I’m carb cycling, training 4 days a week and making my 3 rest days low carb days, should my calorie intake on those rest days be [TDEE - 500] or [maintenance - 500] ?

Training day calories are going to be maintenance and I’ll be having a refeed once every two weeks at first.
I’m currently at ~12% body fat

There is a book from the 90s called sliced that does this protocol, if I remember right. Just go on the line and use the google machine

Your calorie intake wouldn’t change, what would change is your macros. If you are using rest days as low carb days then you could just eat the same diet minus the carbs, creating a deficit
