  1. Does Arimidex decrease Total E, or E2, or both?

I think what BigAk is probably asking is what makes it an invalid assay for males. Some questions that come to mind are "What were Labcorp,Quest and other Labs thinking when they came up with the reference range for Total Estrogens in males?" And "If the tendency is for laboraties to go...
  2. Does Arimidex decrease Total E, or E2, or both?

BigAk, that's precisely the question i've been trying to search an answer for. Im glad Im not the only one that's wondering what role Estrone (or Total Estrogens for that matter) has in the negative feedback loop of the HPTA, if any. I did find some interesting posts elsewhere from a doc who...
  3. Can elevated Estrone suppress the HP?

I think i got a better feel now for internet forum protocals. I was probably hijacking someone's thread again (this time Lowvolume) :0 For some reason, i felt that i was too new to this forum to be creating threads... but I get a feeling it's better than hijacking. In any case, here's a copy...
  4. Please help me with my blood test results

After trying to look up some more info on Total Estrogens and possible suppresion to the HP, I found a few posts from a thread in a different forum that I found interesting. The poster is a practicing physician and he sounds pretty knowledgable too. Here's a copy and paste of a few posts...
  5. My latest labs

Hardasnails1973, can you reference any literature or mention where u learned about estrogen dominance eventually leading to adrenal fatigue? It's not that I doubt you.. on the contrary. I think this is actually what happened to me. Would love to dig deeper into the mechanism of how it...
  6. What are optimal levels of serum Cortisol?

Ok guys.. after reading Grounded's post regarding his dramatic turn-around in health: Originally Posted by Grounded In addition to the symptoms and with no other health issues needing immediate intervention the whole hormone picture is necessary to help with the diagnosis. 7. Please help me with my blood test results

This might be a stretch... but couldn't it be that 95% of ur guys have high Total E's precisely because they have hormonal imbalances to beginwith, therefore making them want to seek medical help such as yourself? Or were you refering to assays done on healthy males with no known endocrine...
  8. Please help me with my blood test results

Setting aside the fact that E1 and E3 are much weaker estrogens than estradiol, are we to assume that Total Estrogen in the high 200's for a male isn't sufficient to cause suppresion at the hypothalamus/pituitary? - Jawohl
  9. adrenal crisis?

Great post. Good to see someone doing things methodically and keeping notes regarding the adrenals. We just need enough of us doing the same and maybe we can finally elucidate the reality with hc in regards to suppression. - Jawohl
  10. Adrenal fatigue?

That's assuming the suppression of the adrenals is only temporary. Jeffries MD from "Safe Uses of Cortisol" seems to feel that small physiological doses of hc like u mention does not cause permanent suppression even if used for several years, but I am highly skeptical. I bet you can find tons...
  11. Free Testosterone as a measure By Dr. Marianco.

Dr.John, do you use a lab other than the one in Texas for that 24 hr urinary panel? I would love to get that panel done but they charge ~$450 if you pay out of pocket and my insurance has flatly refused to pay for this panel. Hopefully you know of a place that charges much less. - Jawohl
