keep rocking bro, everything's looking good..75min workouts, whew..
Yah that's the only thing I don't really like, full body workouts are long and tiring. The results are very good though.

mine are typically this long as well...last night i read a short article on keeping workouts to 45 minutes because after that cortisol soars.
How do you feel about this DW?
I've had no problems, that I know of. Definitely not overtraining or having negative results, and neither are you it doesn't seem.
Well that would pretty much blow HST out of the water and it's the best results I have ever had from a routine that I can remember. I love shorter workouts but I don't think longer ones are counter productive provided your workout is designed properly. I try to get in and out as fast as I can, when you have training partners that is not always in the cards. When I go very quickly on these routines though, I hit the wall and miss reps.
I'm the same way. Usually my 3rd and 6th workouts are the shortest because its one exercise per group with the rest pause.
But I've fallen in love with 3 longer workouts as opposed to 4-5 shorter workouts. After cranking through squats and deads and looking forward to getting to hit every favorite muscle is fun. As opposed to my workout partner from home who tells me every tuesday how much he dreads legs day.
You know DW i remember a couple of months ago (maybe round 3 or 4) when i would be hitting strictly powerlifting routines how i couldnt imagine being in the gym for 30-45 minutes and get a good workout....man was i sorely mistaken.
Now if im that gym over 50 minutes hitting Kleen's routine im about ready to pass out. Heck one day it lasted an hour and it took me 2-3 hours to properly recover and start moving amongst the living. So now that i see you hit a 75 min full body ....i tip my hat to you good sir.
Well what slows me down is I get so winded and setting up for each exercise the gym may be crowded. I am sucking wind though you can believe that.
Oh I can believe that and I've seen it....my workouts my old man who is your age is right beside me sucking wind right next to me.
How is your diet and stack looking almost 7 weeks in? Any changes or you staying consistent to your original plan?
Man a wealth of info over here. One thing I am very surprised about....
As soon as the cortisol issue was mentioned regarding it starting cortizone being converted to cortisol at 45 minutes. I was sure someone would say not an issue, I take ReCreate before i go to the gym I don't have any need to concern myself with what would normally happen after 45 minutes. My ReCreate is gong to keep me out of any danger of going catabolic.
Hmmmm.... it has been said now.Sometimes we forget just how kick ass and advanced the product are that we are lucky to have. A diet pill that can be used to keep me from going catabolic even in the eyes of great physical stress. Less muscle break down = less recovery needed = more muscle growth. Gotta love USP Labs!
Yah I'm currently not using any anti-cortisol products. I have some recreate left maybe I'll try and use some pre-workout.
you know what though. The body is pretty resilient. I think of lumberjacks, they do long days of difficult work, and they are pretty big guys. SO since I've been doing these longer workouts for less days a week, I'm sure my body has adapted, because I haven't seen negative effects.
Your right there are no signs of cortisol increase but who's to say I couldn't do even better with a little help.
Precisely! What if you could be making 5% better gains doesn't sound like much until you get into the cumulative effects. DW the ReCreate could also help yeah tighten back up on the PRIME induced madness if that is a goal. Since training fasted most times I always try to take it before a workout even though I am not cutting. Let us not forget that SuperCissus Rx also has anti-cortisol properties.... So if taking that before a workout you are probably already doing ok. But heck if it can be improved....

Well my OEP has arrived!! I will do a separate log of this starting tommorrow the lets see what happens on mega-dosed Prime!! Now to research the ingredients.
OOOOO Good times!
Yah I have been reading the ingredients, it's more than just a fat burner.
Yah I have been reading the ingredients, it's more than just a fat burner.
Hey why don't ya just put a steak in front of me and tell me I can't have any.... LOL
So it was rest pause last night...
I smashed it pretty good. Most exercises were 8-5-4 or 8-5-3 with the exception of back and front shoulder press with is a very poor high rep/endurance exercise. Some exercises were more challenging than others but 8 reps is where I live. It was nice to get more intensity. I cruised through in less than an hour ... nice way to finish the week.
Like I said I would, I rechecked my weight because I suspected water retention and I was right I was 236 which makes more sense. With the addition of OEP for the next 4 weeks I will likely push that down to 230, my hope is I will actually even be able to put on some more muscle while doing so as the Prime dosage will be increased to 12 ed and 6 600 mg pw!! Yah I said it!! My first impression of OEP is that it will help my workouts as well, like I said more than a diet pill this one!!
Onward and Upward!!
I've already set a few new PR's on OEP.
it's definitely more than a diet pill, this one!
Yah my focus was very good today, but I don't think Jacked is a good mix even at one scoop, I had a real shortness of breaty all exercises were done with a tremendous mind muscle connection though. Got all my reps except the second set front and back shoulder press, which I now know is impossible, I crushed my first set!!
Next week maybe I'll try OEP instead. It was an excellent workout but man my lungs were laboring.
Yeah if you can't breathe or are to dried out to get air it isn't worth it. Maybe just some Bulk BCAA's/ Citruline / BA and the OEP? Or if you still have DominATP that and OEP would be awesome. If not that then the Essentials with Joint matrix will be a good place for that, with the leucine, creatine, all your vitamins and BA in there alongside Glucosomine, MSM and the like. Be a great Intra drink i bet and no flavor, you can put it in any flavor sugar free coolaid you want, talk about versatile.
I have been using that stuff as well, it's just that it's a lot of liquid to down before a workout in the AM. I get kind of bloated. I will try and go with 2 OEP and some Xtend, ahh what the heck I'll slip some DominATP in as well.
Nice workout last night, I hammered my way through all exercises .. and ... I was able to get 14 reps on the second set of back and front shoulder standing shoulder press. I would not have thought this possible after failing at 11 reps with lighter weight on Sunday. It was very exhausting but I am very pleased with my results.
I have to say I could feel the Prime kicking in on my second set, on a lot of these exercises. It really gave me the power and confindence to push on through.
I forgot to weigh in, I can see I have lost a bit of fat now and was really curious, I'll have to weigh in on Thursday which wil be my 7th day on OEP. I was 235 lbs Thursday I believe.

Pumping it out like a machine, excellent work
Speaking of which, I so slayed last night rest pause routine. Every set had extra reps. The pace was astounding!! 45 minutes I was done. That's Prime kickin in big time baby!!
I have gained some size for sure. Late last week I saw some water loss, then I saw some fat loss early this week. I weighed in thinking I was going to be around 232 and I was 234 only down 1 pound!! My diet is very tight so I know I lost more than 1 pound of water and fat. It's unbelievable how you hold on to and even gain mass on this while losing fat! I know I have seen it time and again but it still impresses me. If this keeps happening throughout my prep I will be very impressive indeed!!
You Sir are impressive already. You make gains like a young buck and kick ass like an old vet. That is a damn good combo Brother!
Another very good and fast workout, doing 10 reps now and got the whole full body routine done in 60 minutes. Hah soon as I stop doing the 15 reppers I can breath again and attack!!
I am impressed with how I've been able to hold lots of mass and lean out a little. No hurry I'll just take it as it comes, I am in full control of the situation and that feels food.
My girls have been making amazing progress on these routines as well, almost unrecognizable from when they first started. I proposed that they prep with me and get in the best shape of their life and we will all do photos together 1-2 weeks before the contest. Their insentive is like mine, they're going to be dressed in very small posing suits so they're going to want to look their best. Later if they want to compete they will know where they stand.
These girls are more suited to Figure competition as apposed to bodybuilding where they will still hold a lot of their femanine shape and not get quite as lean. The only thing I don't know is how lean body percentage wise do these girls get. I am assuming around 12 to 14%....
DW you are going to be a beast at that weight going into a contest. I have a feeling it will be a no brainer for who wins.
precisely. :thumbsup:It's all just speculation at this point you just never know, I will do my best and that will have to be good enough.. it will be for me and that's what really counts.
precisely.
there's that old man wisdom coming thru in you DW. :biglaugh:
Everything is going according to the prophecy....
Sorry I always wanted to say that and it kind of fits. LOL Your plan seems to be unfolding perfectly so far DW. You are so right about it depending on who shows up that day too. I am confident you will do well though. This is just a showcase anyway the real reward is living the lifestyle of a natural bodybuilder.
Man, I am stringing together some very good workouts. I got extra reps on all exercises of my 8-4-2 rest pause routine, and I went up on most lifts, well I think all. There was one exception... those nasty front and back shoulder presses, I got 7-3-2. I was really pushing the pace so I was a bit winded.
I weighed in .. back up to 234 .. that's ok I look leaner at 234 than I did at 232. The gain was the muscle mass I had suspected was there.
I also confirmed it with the wife who just laughed and said "Well none of it's fat"...
Another great workout, I changed my schedule to Monday, Wednesday, Friday this week to accomodate the girls. We all kicked a$$ and blazed through. The only problem I had was second set of front back shoulder press, only got 6.5 out 10. The first set is the one that counts on this one though rarely is there anything left for the second set to be completed.
Man, are my legs tight. I have been doing some stretching but will have to do more on off days. It's mainly my glutes and hams that are extremely tight.
