Should this be taken with PostWO meal, or with a split betweem them?

ORANGEPEEL
AGE: 21
HEIGHT: 6' 0"
WEIGHT: 195Lbs
EXPIRIENCE: 5 Years Training
WEIGHT LIFTING SCEDULE: M-T-Th-F

FAVORITE RECON INGREDIENT: BCAA'S! Simple and Effective; especially the 3:1:2 ratio over the standard 2:1:1, when it comes to BCAA's... More is better!

My training has just changed from a higher rep program that usually kept me at 3-4 sets of 12 intense reps; but I have recently changed to a lower rep plan keeping the last 1-2 sets for 110% sets. I had been in the gym for around 90 minutes with the previous plan but this new setup I have been taking around 75-80 minutes to finish.

My normal PWO for the last 7-8 months has been FF chocolate milk, followed by 7.5oz chicken, 140G brown rice, 160g Vegetables, 40G bean dip - The meal I think is great, and for a budget PWO I think the chocolate milk has been effective aswell, but a true PWO I think I could stand to benefit greatly from.

I set random challenges in the gym and some of my most recent were flat BB bench, Weighted dips, and pull-ups.

Bench - 225Lbs, shot for 20 reps, got 18
Dips - 100Lbs, shot for 10, got 8
Pullups - Wanted 15, got 13 (Not weighted, my pull-ups need work badly)

I've also been trying to focus better on Icnline bench, and a better/more intense leg day.

I think RECON could help in all these areas, and I'd love the chance to give it a go.

I've taken a break from logging for a while, but here is a previous log:

Sounds awesome MP. For the record...MP makes damn good products and I am pretty sure this will be another great addition to their already stellar line up. Also, MP makes the best tasting supp on the planet...Blue Raz Assault!.

I'll take a look at Recon when it is available in samples or when it is available for sale.

Good luck to the selected testers...I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Cheers!

I would love to test Recon. I feel as if I am a good candidate for a few reasons. I am currently in my junior year of college and play football here. Lately, i've been having difficulty recovering from my workouts, practicing for 3 hours every day and attempting to lift 4-5 days a week during season has really been draining me. I play linebacker so I need to keep my strength and size up but as we are halfway through the season, the body begins to feel the aches and pains of constant punishment which makes it even harder to recover from lifts. My lifts have been lackluster lately and I have been searching for a recovery supplement and Recon seems to ideally fit this scenario.

Thanks, Best of luck gentlemen

Just to clarify, this product should be taken immediately following training and then you can eat a normal meal 20-30 minutes later.

Another solid application. Lots of good entries in here!!

After posting I realized that I left a few quality things out. I would have to say that the most interesting compound within Recon would have to be the RECHARGE matrix. Cortisol has to be one of my main enemies right now, having a high stress, high level of cardio, my cortisol levels are most likely high which makes it even more difficult to lift. I have been lifting since my freshman year of highschool but modified my college program to include part bodybuilding, part strength and explosiveness. My main goal would be to help mantain and put a couple of pounds back on. If I am able to gain weight during such a high level of stress (academics, football practice, and lifting) I am positive that the gains I would make out of season would be unbelievable.

RECON would really aid in my recovery. I am beginning another contest diet, and the amount of carbs and amino acids in it are perfect for me since my carb intake is centered around my training window for the first 1/2 of my prep. I like the all in one kitchen sink recovery products, but you list most of the ingredient amounts. I appreicate this. It lets me know how much of each I am taking in. This is vital. I will be training 5 times weekly about 60-90 minutes each time. I train somewhat heavy, but similar to jay cutler. Maximum pump, but heavy enough. I mix in really heavy days when my energy levels are high. I eat 6 meals daily. I take in liquid calories around the workouts. I am 34 years old, and in the US NAVY. I have a physical fitness background, and am well educated in nutrition. I will be able to give advice regarding this product to hundreds of sailors who talk to me almost daily regarding supplements and training. I am a fitness leader, and will be very vocal and positive about this product if it in fact works which could greatly influence sales here in san diego. I am 6-1" 240 ibs. Last contest weight was 206 lbs. I will be bigger this time

Please tell me why you want the product and what you stand to benefit from it and I will select the ten people who plead their case the best. Some good things to throw into your post are your style of training, duration of training, goals, diet, and what ingredients you specifically like.

I would like to log this product and I think I would be a very good canidate for this. I am a powerlifter and train 4 days a week. On my off days, depending how swore my legs are, I will pull the sled for strength cardio. But my workout split is a MAX UPPER, MAX LOWER, SPEED UPPER and SPEED LOWER. I work out with the team and we usually take about 2.5 hours. This workouts are VERY intense; using bands, chains, racks, kettlebells, boards and etc. After my workouts I am shot and need to recover quick, if not I can def. feel it the nest couple days even after years of training. My goals of right now is to become a VERY competitive PL in the 165 or 181 class. I lifte RAW, no equipment like the rest of them time does. I am not picky on how things taste, I am looking for a product thats works.
My diets is very clean and consist of carbs (oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, grits), protien (chicken, steak, venision, eggs) and healthy fats ( almods, all natural PB, flax oil, fish oil and primrose oil.

I would love to try this product. i am currently a U.S. Navy rescue swimmer and i am getting honorably discharged in 20 days and taking a break. While being a rescue swimmer has kept me in shape, the kind of exercise we do required extreme endurance which has left me little oppurtunity to build the kind of mass i really want.

once i seperate i plan to start bulking until i reach my goal of 225 (im 6'2) and i think this product could really assist me because DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) gets to me every once in a while. It will be the ONLY suplement i take other than caffeine so i believe it will be a great testament to its abilities.

My current routine involves a lot of heavy dumbell movements (110+) and usually i will pair triceps with chest, biceps with back and so on. Once i start bulking i intend to start getting serious with dead lifts, squats and overhead presses. My diet will consist of high protein, moderate carb and low sodium, plus a few tricks i have learned myself :wink1:.

Thank you for the consideration and i hope you choose me!

go navy. you a member of a seal team?

bump for PMiller... do i need to tweet to get some attention or what??? :)

Get me some followers on twitter and I'll give you some more attention...

I plan on reading through all the entries tomorrow and then picking some winners Friday.

I thought this smiley was funny as hell, it has no relation to the thread what so ever.

This product sounds very intriguing. I'm always interested in the possibility of a good post-workout supplement because as a bodybuilding hobbyist I know that what you give your body post-workout is very important, no matter what your goals. After a really intense workout, I know that there are so many things happening at a physiological level that determine the efficiency of your training, so anything that can give you an edge sounds great to me. The only supplement I've ever taken that could be considered post-workout would be Purple Wraath, but I know it's not only a post-workout supplement, so the possibility of trying a product like Recon sounds really exciting.

Right now my goals are to build lean mass while staying lean, while constantly wanting to increase my strength on all lifts. I'm 5'10.5'', right at 180lbs and around 10% body fat with about 7 years of training experience. I'm aiming to get my bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology and eventually be the best damn personal trainer I can be! As far as body type goes, I'm mostly ectomorph but I have some mesomorph qualities and for me it takes a lot of consistent, efficient training to achieve the goals I want. I do weight training four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), hitting each muscle group twice. Each time I work a certain muscle group I stick with relatively low volume as to prevent overtraining (8-10 sets for major muscles, 4 sets for smaller, mostly involved with compound movements), but I'm always looking for supplements that would help with recovery. I incorporate a lot of flexing and stretching in my routines because I've found that it helps me increase muscularity and definition, to a degree. I love anything that can give me more definition! I do AM cardio once per week, usually on Sundays, leaving the other two as off days. I'll alternate between doing HIIT and more traditional endurance training (30-45 minute jogging). Here's an example of my weekly routine:

Monday - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps/Abs
Tuesday - Back/Biceps/Legs/Abs (includes heavy deadlifts)
Wednesday - Off
Thursday - Shoulders/Chest/Triceps/Abs
Friday - Legs/Back/Biceps/Abs (includes heavy squats)
Saturday - Off
Sunday - AM Cardio

I'd love to run a log of this product! I've never done anything like this or even had the possibility of an opportunity and the thought of running a brand new product would be something I'd be able to brag about for a long time! I also have the tendency of writing a lot, so if you're looking for someone who will write out all the little details, I'd love to be apart of it. Thank you :D

Why do I want some Recon: The answer is simple...I love Muscle Pharm products...I have used the entire line and can definitively say Muscle Pharm puts out top notch quality products. Additionally, I love the fact that Recon contains one of my favorite substances on the planet...Suma Root...it is definitely one of the best natural substances for boosting endurance while in addition to supporting hormonal balance, reducing inflammation, enhancing immunity, increasing libido, etc...in other words...this substances has a myriad of benefits and this is why I love that Muscle Pharm uses it in their products, and it is actually one of the main reasons why I love Assault. Another part of the formula I am excited about is that while there is a nice carbohydrate matrix there is also insulin mimetics to go along with it to make sure maximum nutrient uptake takes place when you need it most...post-workout.

What do I stand to benefit From Recon: I see this product as being a great recovery agent for me and helping make sure any issues with DOMS is limited. This is especially key for me because I absolutely destroy my body...not only when I train, but when I am at work as well. My job literally kicks my a$$ some nights and in addition to training I could use Recon as a means to recover from hard nights at work.

Style of Training: Well I prefer to workout at the minimum 5 days a week, but preferably 6 days a week. When cutting I stick to working out one body part per day. When Bulking I go to my hybrid style 10x3 training program. Currently right now I am cutting and am getting my a$$ back towards doing 1-2 hours of cardio a day...as a means to boost my endurance for work and for fat loss.

Training Experience: I could say I have lifting weights ever since I was born pretty much...lol. However, to be serious...I have been lifting since I was 14, but have been seriously training since I was 19. To give a good number estimate of experience...12 years give or take.

Supplement History and Experience: Well to be quite blunt...I am a supplement junkie and have been since I was 17 or so. For the most part...I like to try new things, but I am very picky when it comes to the supplements I select and from what companies I buy from. Some examples of companies I support...Applied Nutriceuticals first and foremost (obviously), Controlled Labs, Gaspari, Muscle Pharm, Nutraplanet Bulk Products, RPN (RIP ), and of course Animal/Universal. As for getting into specific products I use, or have used...the list is too long. :D

Diet/Nutrition: When I am actually behaving myself I generally eat around 3500-4000 calories a day, during cutting I drop to 3000 cals, up my good fat intake and limit my carb intake, during bulking I can go anywhere from 5500 to 8000 (very high complex carb intake) depending on the intensity of my training. My diet generally consists of lean meats (buffalo meat, extra lean ground beef, turkey, Ostrich meat), blueberries, acai berries (hard to get the actual berries so normally just get the juice), olive oil, coconut oil, natural Peanut Butter, High Protein High Fiber Oatmeal, whole wheat everything (pasta, bread, etc), broccoli, liquid egg whites, fat free cottage cheese, skim milk, casein protein, and whey protein.

Goals: The goals are simple...to be the absolute best I can be for me...settling for complacency or just being ok is not good enough for me. I do not compete against anyone else, only myself as a means to accomplish pushing myself to fulfill my potential and to push beyond limitation.

I'll be watching and waiting to see who the testers are.

I'd like to get in on this...

I work out 6 days a week with weights on a 4 day modified split - not necessarily in this order:
 • Chest
 • Shoulders
 • Back
 • Legs
 • Core / Other

I work out 5 days a week with a training partner, so I always have spots when needed for maximum exertion. I've adapted my own program with 1 to 2 warmup sets, then 3 working sets with a single weight. I count the cumulative reps for the 3 working sets for all major lifts - and work on breaking those records from week to week.

I do at least 20 minutes of cardio per day, usually interval training at a 10% grade... fast walk with intermittent run - usually while staring at females on nearby equipment. Two to three times per week I'll trade in the interval training for bag work.

I've changed my diet significantly since having a few pancreatitis attacks. They are caused in my case by high levels of dietary fat in my blood stream. My usual course of action has been to use nuts / fatty meats to keep my weight up - but that is just an awful idea for me. I've instead adapted by cutting nuts and red meat from my diet, and adding in extra complex carbs, with a firm cutoff of 7PM. I've also taken to increasing both antioxidants and foods with probiotics.

Currently, my only supplementation is Creatine Monohydrate (generic) and various protein (usually whey), and green tea (for antioxidant benefits)... I've even veered away from fish oils in an effort to keep my fat intake down. I've probably cut about 3 % of bodyfat over the past 3 months - which is great.

I'm keeping supplementation simple. I really like the Recon profile - complex carbs, aminos, etc... and think it would be a great addition to my training regimen and diet. I also walk to and from the gym which takes at least 20 minutes before I get my shake in. I like the idea of immediately taking in a refuel product immediately post workout to kickstart the repair / absorbtion process.

I've done numerous logs - both sponsored and unsponsored over the past few years at AM. Would obvioulsy make this log as detailed as you would like, including pictures / diet / training information.

Congrats guys, this looks awesome.

I will have to check this out and compare it to Torrent and Postal. This is probably the most important supp for me because I need something convenient.

did they end up sending their info in??? if not replace me with one of them Pmiller. Im down to throw down on Recon and not put any of it to waste

Like I said they have until Midnight tonight (actually until I wake up tomorrow morning) to send their info before I pick new people.

I Just found this thread, and incase someone doesn't submit their info Here is my app

My App.
I'm currently a high level of competition athlete(this is vague due to personal reasons) Practice 6 days a week, plus workouts puts a ton of stress on my body. My days can look like 2.5 hours of on field practice, then right into the weight room lifting for another 1-2 hours. Even with this long days everyday I hit the field or the weight room i'm expected from coaches, and myself to perform at my best every time i hit the field or the gym. This means my recovery needs to be top notch, and I can't waste any chance of recovery without proper nutrition and supplementation. Recon sounds like the perfect product for me.
My training style in the gym is generally hard and heavy. My goal is all about strength, with mass as a secondary goal. I train generally using a 5x5 rep/set scheme, with plenty of maxing out, and failure training (drop sets, forced reps, ect) On the field I demand a lot of my body and want to make sure I'm well trained to perform. I've been training in the gym for about 3 years, 2 very serious and dedicated to sport performance and bodybuilding.
My diet is clean, and well managed, I am unable to have a weak diet because there is no way I can train everyday and be on the field without enough cal intake, carbs, and protein. I like to keep my fat intake in check because I don't like the the sluggish feeling i get from a high fat diet.

·REFUEL Matrix (Muscle Extender):
·Beta Alanine and Citruline Malate have been shown to help replenish cellular energy, to fuel ongoing muscular contractions for harder, more intense training sessions. RECON™ REFUEL Matrix will facilitate cellular energy replenishment and prepare the muscle cells for the next training session.

This is my favorite part about recon. I need to be able to keep going. I cannot afford to take an "easy day" at the "office" This is just not an option for me. Recon's Refuel matrix looks like is can provide me with the ability to hit the field and gym everyday harder than the last.

It will probably be a week or two before you guys get the Recon because we are still waiting on finished product to get to our warehouse. We just wanted to make sure we had all your info ready so we could get it ASAP when it comes in.

Perfect bro! I have a couple weeks of a mini cut left to prime myself for my 12 week bulker :D. I was kind of afraid I would have to use some recon on this mini cycle (which would prob be a great idea) but I am psyced that I can use it on the bulk! Should really be able to judge the results now  . Thanks for the heads up pmiller.

My Info

Hey man whats up i got your e-mail about me being picked. I couldnt send you a personal message for the recon but here is my info for you. if you could email me at that would be great.

damn I missed this one, would have been nice to try another recovery drink so I can compare to the xtend I usually take

I am a potential good candidate for a few reasons. I'm a sprinter who trains 5 days a week right now (pre season speed training), i feel that the intesity of my training days plus my weight training leaves me completely exhausted at the end of the day, i could really benefit from a recovery booster. I've never taken supplements before other than protein shakes so my opinion would be unbiased.

My diet consists of at least 180+ grams of protein a day 200-250 carbs a day (off days around 100) and good fats around 40 a day.

An example training/workout day for me would be.
Gym-
Bench 225, 245, 275, 245, 185 until failure (12,7,2,4,11 reps respectively was my last workout)
Kickbacks-5 sets until failure starting with 10's ending with 20's
Decline Bench- 3 sets of 5 of 245
Dips- 5 Sets of 15
Pecdeck flys- 225 3 sets of 10
Push downs- 95 on the rope 3 sets of 10
The Track-
3x200's- 23 second pace
5x100's- full out sprint each one (first 3 are usually sub 11)
3x60's- full out sprint between 6.6 and 7.1 6.6 being first and 7.1 being last.
(in meters)
