Resolve's BC+EAA Bonanza!

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates - I've been doing nothing but driving the last 3 days. Tomorrow we arrive in Dallas, finally.

I've worked in two decent workouts over the last 3 days - still sticking with the high volume. On thursday I was able to go to a 24 hour fitness, which was under equipped, but a wonderland of lifting in comparison to the fitness room in the hotel that I had to use today.

I'm runnin very low on BC+EAA - like maybe 2 or 3 servings. So I'll get up a final review over the next few days.

I haven't been sleeping well in these hotel beds, and that really affected my performance today. I look forward to getting a good night's sleep and getting back on a regular schedule

The last fitness room in a hotel I used had like 4 DB's and a treadmill...there a dam joke! seriously, why even try?

Look forward to the full final review man! Also remember to let me know about BW running that gear for me ;)

I just cracked open some Grape BC+EAA. Wholly EFF this stuff is delicious! I've been having one serving in the morning pre-breakfast with creatine, HMB, and Vit C, and then two servings throughout my shift at work, and one serving pre-bed with HMB, Vit C and 1-C. When I start lifting again on Monday I'll be adding 3-4 servings intra-wo.

Agreed! It's now my personal favourite!! Tastes damn good and blows other grape flavored products away easily!

:)

Will do. We're unpacking in our new place right this moment - I'll PM you the info later this evening. :)

Hmmm... I've never been much of a "grape" man, but I might have to try this at some point.

I'm down to my last few scoops - I lift tomorrow (my first workout in Dallas!:head:) and that should make the end of my BC+EAA. I'm also going furniture shopping and looking for a natural foods market tomorrow! Should be a big day.

The gym I went to today was AMAZING. It was on the top floor of a parking garage and had an awesome view of the surrounding city - it has two power racks (like my old gym in CA), DBs that go well over 100lb, tons of floor space and benches, actual pull-up bars (had to use the smith machine back home), they provide towels and even have dipping belts. Not to mention that the ratio of apparently-seasoned lifters to douchenozzles was very good. So, I am very pleased with where I will be lifting part of the time.

That being said, I was dissappointed in myself today for a couple of reasons: I didn't incline barbell press or weighted dip as much as I had hoped. But, I haven't done either of those movements in a while, so there is some room for giving myself grace. I was pleased that the weighted dips didn't hurt - I've been avoiding them as they require a lot of stabilization; not something you want to have to do with an injured ab. But today, no pain from them!

I used the last of my BC+EAA today, just as I had expected. To be honest, that little container lasted much longer than I had anticipated it would. The 4:1:1 bcaa ratio makes a much smaller dose much more potent than other amino products. I've noticed that ON makes a similar product called Vassive EA8 or something like that, but in going through the ingredients, I noticed it contains maltodextrin! WTF? I don't want malto in my aminos unless I'm the one putting it there for my intra-workout shake - when I'm low-carbin' it, malto is a no-go. So, needless to say, BC+EAA beat that competition without even having to try.

Today's Workout: 4x6 for all movements unless otherwise stated

Incline Barbell Press: 275 x6 x5 x5 x4 x2+1+1
Pronated Seated Rows: 290 (maxed out the stack, :()
Leg Press: 160 for 5minutes
Weighted Dips: BW+70, +80, +80, +70
Unilateral Cable Chins: 120 (different machine than I'm used to - less weight is much more difficult! I likey!)
Leg Extensions: 295 (maxed out this too...) 6x6 w/4sec Eccentric
Cable Curls: 130 8x6

This is a slightly different setup that I may begin using soon - today was sort of a test drive: one each horizontal push, horizontal pull, vertical push, vertical pull, 2 lower body moves and one accessory of choice. I liked it today, we'll see how it fairs with higher volume.

Ahhh... It's nice to have the time to give a good update - it's been a while. I've missed it.:)

Oh, and guys, I forgot to mention above, but I should be running another (partially sponsored) LG log in a couple of weeks - after I actually start my studies and get my schedule ironed out. I'm also, hopefully, going to go to the Doctor's between now and then and get this hip/ab thing resolved, so I'm hoping squats and dls can make a comeback for that log!

Finally, I will put up my final review tomorrow :D

I'm with you on going to the Doc. It's time we both get this crap taken care of. I want to get under the barbell again!

BC+EAA Final Review:

Here's the short version guys - this is good stuff. It is leaps and bounds better than the first batch of Blue Raspberry that I tested way back when in terms of both solubility and flavor.

Flavor, which can be a real make or break attribute for an intra-workout supp, is delightful. The Kiwi-Watermelon is fresh, crisp and refreshing; enough to cover the bitterness of free-form aminos, but not so much as to be overpowering. Think a lighter Watermelon Xtend, but without the artificial aftertaste. Definitely a winner in this category.

The solubility, as I mentioned above, is very good as well. No problems dissolving multiple servings in my water bottle, and nothing ever precipitated to the bottom. "Leucine-Foam" did occur if shaken real vigorously, but not to an excess. If you don't put your bottle in a paint-shaker, you'll be fine.

Now, I've used free-form aminos pretty much since I first started lifting. BCAAs were one of the first supplements I tried, and remain to this day a staple of mine. If recomping, I use them throughout the day - if bulking, I use them only intra-workout. Additionally, I now incorporate Leucine and EAA into my regimen as well.
As such, I have tried many different products, and have a definite opinion on what I like and don't like. For example, you'd pretty much have to beat me with a stick to get me to use any amino-ethyl ester product or bcaa caps.

On the other hand, I've discovered real winners; and that is where LG's BC+EAA fits in. Being CHO-free, I have the option of either adding any carbs I may want, or taking it straight. So, no matter my diet, BC+EAA can fit. Additionally, it is one of only two products of which I'm aware incorporate both significant amounts of BCAAs and EAAs, and the other product contains maltodextrin.

Not only does it contain BCAAs, but it contains the 4:1:1 ratio which is less frequently used and more anabolic. This means that not only does BC+EAA contain EAA which fuel and spur continuous protein synthesis, but also a higher content of Leucine, which is primarily responsible for triggering muscle anabolism. Therefore, BC+EAA provides a higher than average kick-start to protein synthesis and then supplies the fuel to keep anabolism going.

I used it first thing in the morning, intra-workout, between meals when I felt I was running low, and before bed. That it provides everything necessary to trigger and sustain protein synthesis makes it a very versatile product.

I would really love to see this come out in a 90 serving size. This product is awesome and a larger size would just make it all the better. It would be like halving half a large tub of Xtend mixed with half a large Purple Wraath, only it would taste better and contain more leucine.

As things are though, the $17 30-serving size lasted me a month of experimentation. So, even if a larger size is not released, the current size is a feasible and financially reasonable investment. I mean, I'm already planning on buying the grape! :D

Great final review, Resolve! We really appreciate it! I'm glad you so thoroughly enjoyed the product. I'm using it ALL the time these days. My dosing has been...

Pre-breakfast: 1 serving BC+EAA, 2g DCM, 4g HMB, 1g VitC

Throughout day: 2 servings BC+EAA in 1 gallon

Pre-bed (2-2.5hrs after last meal): 2 servings BC+EAA, 2g DCM, 3.2g HMB, 2g VitC

I can't say I've been using it intra-workout recently. I'm still polishing off the Purple Wrath I've had since before I was an LG Rep, but I have to say I've noticed a big difference since I started dosing the BC+EAA multiple times daily.

I'm looking forward to your next log!

A great, and in-depth review as always:thumbsup: I would also like to see a larger size. Thanks for taking the time to hook this up:)
