I have been lifting for almost a year now at a relatively small community gym and have been wondering what others' work out schedules are, and how other people use the structure of their workouts in order to maximize their effectiveness? Currently, I have alternating upper and lower body days, but I hit virtually all muscles in my upper body and then all in my lower body each day, with the exception of only squatting every other designated 'leg day'. I know that some people target only one-two muscle groups each day, and I am wondering which muscle groups I should target together, and when I should implement my rest days. Thanks.

I'm a big fan of Upper/Lower/Upper/Lower. I say stick with it.
