I was 380+ lbs. I lost the weight kept it off for about a 2 years now. Barely loose skin if any at all.

I can finally gain some lean mass. I've been maintaining for 2 years in fear of fat gain.

I'm coming off my current deficit and going into a surplus. I've been in a surplus before but im chasing real mass this time and not that gaspari ****.

    Leg day is today.

Please note my strength is not where it should be. I'm looking to improve that. No dick measuring here please.

    I'm also 6'4 to 6'5.

Ill update what supplements im taking, diet, and training sometime later.

Welcome to my training log! Pictures will be shown sporadically. Also please note I view these fourms for knowledge. I am not anti steroids. My opinion is you guys put the same kinda work in as we do. I just prefer not to use them. Infact I find the mechanics behind them very interesting.

Supplements:bulk agmatine, citruline, beta alanine, creatine monohydrate, fish oil and green tea. Random preworkouts if needed.

Back day. Weighted pull ups. Thanks to a few tips from various websites and my own dip belt I finally got to 20 lbs on the belt.

Using chains aswell. Draping them over my shoulders for more stability. I dont count the weight from the chains. I feel like this improves my execution of pull ups and dips. Anyone else experience this?

Also thinking of using chains on my squat, deads, and bench. Really liking them.

Diet is 3100 calories. Adjusting slowly. Going to add 100 more. My maintenance is 3000 ish. 200 calorie surplus maybe 250. What do you guys think?

So.. interesting. Suddenly my strength has shot up tremendously.

    Must be that steakadrol.

I can as of today deadlift 190 with the thick Olympic bar with chains on the end. That's over my body weight of 196. Beast mode!

One of my long term goals is to have a squat, dead and bench that's my body weight.

Also I have a curved spine. People think my dead is improper form....I want to lift enough where I don't get unsolicited advice. Don't you hate that?

Re structuring my squat form. I'm not lifting with my heels. I also have a hard Time using and feeling glutes. Added hip thrust and hip flexibility work to leg day. My hamstrings aren't the problem. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to do sldl with 240. That's a bit over my body weight. Not including chains.

Also liking chalk on deads. Tried it the first time. Feels great.

Trying quest banana nut muffin for the first time today. It's like they are treats for destroying a workout.

Pr today. Hammer curls are back to 30 for reps from my slight strength loss during cut. Still around 190. Trying to bulk slow.

    400+ carbs though haha!

Pr shoulder press. 40 for 12 reps and 45 for 7. I'm weak as mentioned but I'm getting there.

I am impressed with my ohp form. Got 70 on that before the prs.

I gotta ask why people go so heavy on traps and get that jerk/no form look. Don't they want development? I'm only doing 60 with slow and controlled contraction at the top and bottom. Pause and back up/down.

Lesson? Don't be that guy who goes for 1 rep max on traps.

Reworking squat form sucks guys. I do other leg work I'm quite strong in like the platform jump with a 25 lb plate.

Going light on squats is killing my ego but I know I need to in order to prolong my lifting later in life. My legs are not small and my calves are admirable but the weight I want seems Unobtainable. I keep pushing which is what puts me apart from the other 98% of people. I'll get there. I have the want and drive. I plan on correctly squatting 200 by middle of next year. Won't be disappointed If I don't but it's my goal. Meanwhile I'm doing weighted pull ups with near perfect form. It all balances out I suppose.

I get knee poping just on squats. After my last noob injury I have found that if I use correct form it doesn't pop. I had and have hip flexibility problems. This is the cause I'm sure of it. Added some flexibility work at home and what do you know? Knee problems gone, I can go deeper and my lower back feels better. I could probably squat 200 x 1 but I'm not willing to. The next 6 months is rehab work.

I will be strong in squats one day. First I gotta fix myself or risk a knee blowout.

I also fixed butt wink and foot position.

I'm just fine on all other leg movements.

Also should note I had problems "feeling" my glutes. Hip thrust (looks terrible lol) have helped. Also squeezing my butt on deads have helped. Also adds power fast. Thinking I had underdeveloped glutes.

Yeah everything needs to be tight on squats. Pushing the knees out hard and starting the movement with a hip hinge will allow your knees to track better. Squeezing the glutes when the bar passes the knee on the deadlift sure helps speed up the lockout.

Back day pr. I added 10 lbs plus chains. Only 7 reps but I got that with clean form.

Also...anyone else have hunger control issues? Apple slices , cinnamon, sweetener and banana smoothies have helped me. Use a crap ton of water and ice. Just to hold me over till next meal.

Also... good way to get about 40 to 70 carbs plus fiber. I like it creamy enough to eat with a spoon. Not a lot of ingredients but it's just to hold my appetite.

Marshmallows and ice cream post workout.

I am having kungpow chicken with fried rice tonight. Home made. I mite post a picture up with macros.

One of those days..it's my rest day. I got up at 1pm. Crammed down 3300 calories, put in my food for tomorrow via Myfitnesspal and instantly hungry lol!

Tomorrow consist of a just below 1000 calorie banana and berry shake topped off with fruit loops and marshmallows a quest bar ,3 sub roll sammich and fried rice with kungpow beef. HURRY UP AND GO TO BED is what I'm telling myself so I can eat. Seriously considering adding extra cardio for extra food. I could add hill sprints and add an extra 200 to 300 calories a day. Decisions lol.

    I am a bottomless pit.

HOWEVER! I have found fruit shakes/smoothies have helped curb my appetite lately. Coupled with assassins creed revelations I have to beat and my 4 hr plus civ games maybe it's not so bad.

Also going to start up pokemon again.

Besides me being a man child and playing games both online and single player my legs seem to be taking the stretching and flexibility work very well.
I picked up light ish goblet squats to help with form. I love them. I can sit on my hamstrings with them. In about 4 to 12 weeks my goal is to get in the Same depth in my back squats. I can now squat without knee popping. Fixing dat old man knee finally. At 23 I'm glad I'm taking care of this now.

Also.... towel hangs are killer for grip.

Also note I put in food for tomorrow just so I can plan yummy meals to fit my macros to a t.

Im getting 193 protien 80 fats and 450+ carbs.

Today is a 3 servings of fruit spins(generic fruit loops lol) 3 bananas(about 360 g) 2 scoops of whey (cellucor peanut butter marshmallow) 1 cup of 1% milk and 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk for breakfast

    For post workout

    Mug cake.

1 serving of whey(cellucor molten chocolate)
1 serving of complete pancake mix
    1 egg
    2 servings of egg whites
    2 servings of coco powder
1 cup of milk( just add enough to make batter and have the rest with the cake)
1 cup unsweetened apple sauce (moist cakes!)
And I drop a serving of peanut butter in the middle when baking in the microwave. It melts and makes a surprise in the middle and at the bottom.
Splenda, baking soda, ect were not listed cause I don't count them.

For the cake toppings...another serving of peanut butter to spread on there, 200 g straw berries on top and 4 servings of sugar free chocolate syurp. (Walden farms would work too)

    next meal....

6 slices of honey ham torn into small chunks served in 2 servings of green beans with 1.5 servings of butter melted on.

    Next meal..

4 table spoons of soy sauce ( about 2 oz)
    4 servings of brown rice.

    All that comes to a total of 3301 calories 464 carbs,85 fat,and 197 protien.
My goals were 80 g fat 193 protien and 460+ carbs. Pretty close. Epic meals for me tpo!

That's it! Boring except for the cake buhaha!

Oh and today is shoulders, traps, squats and abs. Mite throw in 4 sets of triceps extensions. I cram it all in at the end of the week. Have to get all that food in before 8 pm central. That's when I nerd out and raid with my guild on world of easy...er. .war craft. Soon to be playing the elder scrolls online. I'll keep the gaming stuff to myself though haha!

I will be doing goblet squats, a bunch of pressing moments and feeling like a bad ass. Will update with prs and such. I am up 3 lbs in over 5 weeks btw. That's the weight gain I love!

Next week I'm switching to more reps vs more weight on upper body and less reps more weight on lower. I just did 2 45 plates on ohp for 7 reps. I plan on getting to 12 then moving up.

Pr for db shoulder press. 50s for 9 reps. After the ohp lol.

Pr on accessories work. I doubt you'd like to hear about 25 on side laterals.

Triceps extensions I added went well. Pyramid set x2. 20 then 25 then 30 then 35 then 40 . Could get 20 reps on the 20 and 3 reps on the 40. Burnnnnnssss! Love it!

Cake picture coming as well as foods and it's really a bowel cake as big as I make it.

I have learned some easy things to do on the cheap. Potatos, rice, meat , veggies are basically all I need. Spices and sauces of course. I'll try and post my meals every day.

Edit:more food pics to come. Let me know what you want me to bake or make. Note I don't have a muffin pan YET. All I got is a blender, a basic baking sheet, some glass baking pans a hand mixer a mini food processor and of course chef mike (my microwave)

You seem to have the creativity down. I'd definitely live to see some pics/ideas myself.

It's nice seeing some 'cheats' that aren't 100% junk (pizza, etc).

I removed it from the bowl. Best part with the way I prepared it I didn't even need cooking spray to remove it. Nice and moist/spongey too. Flip on a plate and eat. Of course I made it purdy but other than that it's very easy.

Step 1 put dry in bowl, blend with fork until finer powder /no lumps. After 2 or 3 times making you'll know what I mean.

Step 2 add wet , stir with same fork. Add in milk as needed.

Step 3 put in microwave for 30 to 45 seconds. Then put peanut butter in middle or go no peanut butter. Will also work with baking strawberries or ect Into the cake. Then microwave in 30 second intervals. Toothpick test to see if done. It should take about 2 to 3 mins but I don't ever want burnt/over cooked cake again so 30 second intervals for me.

    Step 4 garnish/add topping.

I use honey, strawberries, syurp, marshmallows (melted or no) quest bars, ect ect. Even going to make some low fat butter cream icing eventually. Heavy whipping cream, fat free sugar free jello, skim milk and cream cheese is all I will basically need. Thinking cheese cake or white chocolate for the frosting. Idk.

Cheesey noodle creation coming later today.

Also note these are my rest days and I don't work a typical 9 to 5. I have plenty of free time to do these updates on food and training. Pictures coming in 2 to 4 weeks.

    I'm going backwards. I gained 3 lbs to get to 193 and now I'm 192. Calories are now 3350. That's an extra 350 calories/week.
