No only was my recovery from yesterday's workout better than when I previously took COR-BCAA but my recovery between sets was better than before as well!     Metabolic Flexibility Experiment
    *Remember this is all for my own personal growth and is my personal opinions. Take it we simply documenting my findings. It is all relative and meant to be taken in a grain of salt.

    Overview:
    Metabolic Flexibility - the ability to use the right substrates at the proper time (main sourced used in breakfast is utilized more throughout the day)

    Goals:
    -find what is personally "optimal" for me to achieve top body composition and maximal strength output goals

    Already known:
    -I respond extremely well to a high caloric intake
    -I respond "slightly" better on a higher fat diet
    -I have always carb backloaded as I train early in the morning and has always worked best

    Changes to make:
    -rearrange macronutrients to favor a higher fat intake
    -rearrange macronutrient timing (mainly breakfast) to examine the results of this experiment

    Day 1
    Macros:
    280g protein 300g carbs 142g fat

    Schedule:
    Woke up and ate the following breakfast/preworkout meal

    Meal #1
    -Serving of Multi Vitamin and Greens Supplement Shake
    -4 whole eggs, 3 egg whites cooking in 1 TBSP Olive Oil
    -407g broccoli
    = 40g protein 20g carbs 34g fat
    = 592 calories
    *Listen to my video explaining the podcast done by Ben Pakulski and Dr. Jacob Wilson. I go into detail why the meal is set up the way it is( i.e. moderate protein, low carb from green vegetables, high fat)

    Following this meal I had Alpha Amino pre and intra workout

    Observations:
    -too early to tell but I can say I had a heightened sense of focus, clarity, drive/aggression, and my muscles felt more "full." I really did not expect to see any results from simply changing the composition of my pre workout macros so immediately but can say that I am eager to see what the followed days will bring!     Hey man, I gotta question for you seein as you mentioned carb backloading.

    I'm contemplating beginning carb back loading and I train at various times. I know the book says to train in the late afternoon if possible. Since you train in the morning, around what time do you introduce carbs back into your day?

    I have skimmed the book but really tried it in a more applicable scenario testing it with my own body, schedule, etc. and seeing how I reacted most optimally.

    My last meal of the day (at any time it is) is around 50% of my carbs for the day. Then when I wake up before training, I eat the higher fat, moderate protein, low carb preworkout meal, BCAA's intraworkout WITHOUT my typically dextrose, then consume carbs again postwork. It usually ends up being around 3-5 hrs from waking up to postworkout when I eat a heavily carbed meal...must say that the switch to higher fat consumption in the AM has REALLY blown my energy up and leaned me out fairly fast for only being a few days of experimenting with metabolic flexibility.

    My Dosing Strategy
    For the first two days of using the product I dosed it at 1 scoop intraworkout along with a pre workout product (C4.) After the suggestion of Chef Bob, I took out all other supplementation and increased the dosage to 1 scoop pre workout after my pre workout meal and another 1 scoop intraworkout WITHOUT my typically dextrose in the shake. I found that 14 oz of cold water PER SCOOP had the perfect flavor that wasn't too strong and gave me time to sip on it during both dosing periods.

    Lemon Lime - A LOT better than the beta tested version! No aftertaste and was comparable to a Core Nutritionals Core ABC Lemonade flavor. It had the most distinct lemonade type flavor that wasn't overpowering and was rather enjoyable to sip on and have that flavor in your mouth during a hard workout
    Icy Blue Razz - CRUSHED the C4 Blue Razz flavor in my opinion! It almost had a cotton candy type smell and taste to it! EASILY beat out lemon lime in my opinion. Also something to note was I noticed a slightly cooling sensation when drinking it which I can only relate to a RCSS Resurrect PM Flavor Cooling taste (basically after drinking it my mouth seemed to feel slightly cooler and made for a better all around mouthfeel and texture.)



    Mixability: 10/10
    Didn't even use a blender cube. No flakes and only slightly foamed after shaking which disappeared after a few seconds of settling.

    Endurance: 11/10
    First two workouts I didn't notice a huge difference but after dosing it twice, I noticed a BIG difference. Near the tail end of my 2-3 hr sessions I typically get slightly tired but after dosing it twice, I noticed a massive increase in endurance overall and I was able to not only finish my workout stronger, but made it feel like I was ready to just keep crushing the weights!

    Pump: 12/10
    This was one of the BIGGER surprises to me! I honestly didn't expect to get that much of a pump from this product but it really made my muscles look and feel a lot more "full" (due to the hydration compound) and as well as an increase in vascularity. Would be amazing to see this stacked with a pump focused pre workout product!

    Strength Output: 10/10
    I consistently push hard and hit PRs even without this product. I did notice however that the PRs that I hit during the use of this product weren't grinders and felt a lot easier to hit so there's obviously something working there!

    Recovery Intraset: 11/10
    I typically break anywhere from 3-5 mins on my ME days and 1-2 mins on my other hybrid and hypertrophy days. Using AA, it literally took my ME days down to 1-2 mins tops and even my other days to 30 seconds to 1 min! REALLY enjoyed this and felt like a madman running from set to set moving some heavy weight for some high reps! This was a HUGE bonus! in the product!

    Recovery From Last Session: 10/10
    I workout 6 days a week and have BARELY been sore. I'm typically only sore to the touch but have notice even that type of DOMs to seem to decline allowing me to feel better and crush even more workouts!!

    Duration of Negative Effects: 0/10
    No negative side effects what so ever…this is a BCAA product and I don't see any negative effects happening. Only thing that could be is some stomach issues as some people have trouble with certain flavors.

    Duration of Positive Effects: 10/10
    Entire workout and even having a little more energy throughout the day! Waking up more refreshed and feeling better than ever!

    Overall 12/10
    A completely incredible product! It is beyond effective in the gym with an effectively dosed profile. NOT only that but I believe its still 50% AND you can use codes like Chef Bob's (20% off) to buy the product…pretty cheap and honestly my favorite BCAA product…even after the beta testing I knew this product was going to be my new favorite and beat out COR-BCAA and it held true!



    Although my "formal" review is done, I am going to keep my log on this product going only now begin experimenting with the product in terms of stacked with other supplements and will record my results to find the most beneficial way to take Alpha Amino to reap the most benefits for my future use of the product!

    Dosage: 1 sample packet in 8 oz water

    Taste: 8/10 - most similarily tasting like Cellucor's C4 fruit punch which was fairly good! I do feel however that there are 2 types of fruit punch flavored preworkouts and this one (like C4) is my lesser liked flavored fruit punch (the only one being like a ProSupps Mr. Hyde which is my cavorts fruit punch taste.)
    Mixability: 9/10 - only had a slight amount of residue after shaking without a blender cube! Will try more water tomorrow to see if that helps.
    Effectiveness: 9/10 - well I truly enjoyed this product! Energy was sky high and literally felt AMAZING the entire 3 hr workout and wanted to keep going!!!!! Pump was also very great and I did notice a slight increase in vascularity. Also something to note was that there was no crash and the energy was smooth throughout without it all "hitting you at once" and wearing off.

    Was my LAST session taking Alpha Amino both PRE and INTRA workout! Will do a FULL review again only this time looking at the effectiveness of stacking Alpha Amino with another preworkout product! REALLY excited to get the final review out!

    Dosage: 2 pills, 2x per day
    Form: Capsule
    After Taste and Aroma: 10/10 - No aftertaste that some pills have. Makes it easy to swallow!
    Digestive Tolerance: 10/10 - Didn't hurt or bother my stomach in the least!
    Effectiveness: 9/10 - WELL! After about a week+ of taking the product I can say that I have noticed a slight increase in recovery time as well as increases overall (during my workouts and even throughout my typically taxing day.) Really excited to continue to use this product and see how it continues to help!

    Secondary Review to Cellucor's Alpha Amino (Lemon Lime & Icy Blue Razz)

    About the Product:

    DOSING FOR ALPHA AMINO:
    Pre-workout fasted = most ideal
    Between meals spaced 4-6 hours apart = Next ideal
    Intra-workout = Least ideal
    Post-workout = No point due to most using it intra-workout (Aminos still present in bloodstream) or a pre-workout meal still digesting) So therefore it is just extra amino overlap, and there are constant elevation of protein enzymes which never reach refractory stage before being spiked again.

    Hence why eating so often is not beneficial to MPS (Muscle Protein Synthesis)


    WHY EAA's more important than BCAA intra-workout:

    This is the only study done in trained humans consuming EAAs during the workout. These are legit, military-trained personnel doing both resistance and endurance work.

    The findings?

    "In summary, consumption of a 10-g dose of EAA enriched with leucine during moderate endurance-type exercise stimulated increased MPS when compared with an isonitrogenous EAA supplement with an amino acid profile consistent with high-quality proteins. These data indicate that increasing leucine availability during steady state exercise promotes skeletal muscle protein anabolism and spares endogenous protein."

    These EAAs increased postworkout MPS by 33% when consumed during exercise
    The drink with the highest leucine content spared muscle to the greatest degree




    My Dosing Strategy
    After my formal review ended I wanted to begin STACKING this product mainly with a preworkout to see how it enhances my workout rate, overall strength output, overall muscular endurance, overall muscular changes, as we as energy, pump, and overall increased performance.     Workout rate, overall strength output, overall muscular endurance, overall muscular changes: 10/10
    With the addition of the prop blend of 1 M.R. Vortex, I was able to experience a MASSIVE increase in energy throughout the entire workout increasing my overall workout rate as well as increased overall strength output, muscular endurance, and have not hit a plateau. Although I cannot fully attribute this to these two products combined, I CAN SAY that it did increase my workout rate in the gym and my overall feeling of alpha male and aggression, leading to an increased workout.

    Energy, endurance, Pump, and Focus: 11/10
    The combination of a properly formulated hydration BCAA along with an energy and pump inducing product made for EXPLOSIVE energy within the gym! The addition did also increase my endurance during my workouts as I was able to stay longer and work harder! As with before, Alpha Amino proved to provide me with a "full" look to my muscle bellies and the inclusion of a pump product (1 M.R. Vortex) made my pumps extremely incredible! I did not however notice any change in focus (lack of effectiveness from 1 M.R. Vortex.)


    Recovery Intraset, from last session, and overall: 11/10
    My recovery rate was just as great as when I took Alpha Amino as a stand alone and was happy to see that the increased output did not cause my recovery to be hindered.

    Overall 12/10
    Well, just like with before, Alpha Amino PROVED to be an extremely amazing endurance and recovery product and having it STACKED with an energy and pump product made the experience all the more enjoyable and allowed me to not only perform better, but feel better in the gym! This stack is a DEFINITE try! I am eager to stack Alpha Amino with other energy, pump, and focus pre workout products and see how the results are! All I can say is that Alpha Amino + 1 M.R. Vortex = GAAAAINZ!!
