Often on these days, pump is easily less than my other days simply because the sets are lower reps but EVEN today my pump was going stronger than usual on my previous ME days!!!! Only downfall was that today was the first day I notice less of the "energetic" effect that I've become accustomed to. Still great!!!

I go thru phases of training such as tempo work, overall increased load work, volume, etc. Plus I'm still a long way from my goals in bodybuilding AND powerlifting and kinda wanna hit them before I compete in either...who know's though!!!     I'm in Beaver County, PA but I train in Weirton, WV. I hear what you're saying, but the best way to motivate yourself is to have a competition in mind to train for. You learn so much when you're there, too. I say fück waiting, just step up and compete and see where you're at right now. You never know what you'll do on the platform or the stage until you get up on there!

    Especially the numbers you're at now, there's no reason to put off competing in powerlifting. You'd already be very competitive at pretty much any level. What do you weigh currently?
