Dunno. Hit 340 for a triple maybe a month ago, but never anything heavier than 340 for reps.

    Ridiculous.

  7. Today seems like a marvelous day to train back. Yes, I listed a body part instead of a movement. I'll do it whenever I get off work.

  9. Back day pushed back. Still worn from carrying drywall and then squatting and benching for PRs yesterday. I think I'm still in my post-meet doldrums, as well. Tomorrow I'm training first thing. By first thing, I mean we're talking the crack of noon.

  10. LA Fitness workout!

They did have some nice machines...

    Hammer Strength Pullover/Pull Ups
    3x10/10/5/3

    Pullover crushed the upper lats.

    Hammer Strength Pulldown
    3x12

    HS High Row
    4x8

    Snatch Grip Deads
    275x8

    Sumo Pull
    Singles to 405

That bar is a bitch to pull on.

    Grip4orce Holds
    135x 45seconds x3sets

    DB Preacher w/ Grip4orce
    5x12

Shrugs (there you go, smoker, achieved my quota of shrugs for 2013)
    225x3x20

    Rear Delt Destroyer x2

Facepull/3D Pullaparts (switched to regular pullaparts)
    3x12/1x12/2x12

God, that was funny. People wouldn't know whether to cry or wind their watch if a powerlifter with a strong back walked in there. So many douchebag shoulders, so many high squats (well, not that many people squatted). Saw a partner-assisted set of curls followed by throwing the bar on the ground.

My least favorite exercise that I see every time I'm in a commercial gym is the 3-inch shrug done by protracting the scapulae. I guess it's not their fault, since they've never seen what an actual set of traps look like, but IF THEY HAD, they'd see that the traps work to elevate and/or RETRACT the scapulae. Love when people ask how my traps got so much bigger than theirs when they shrug way more than me.

    Fixed.

As long as you mean comic book Bane and not phaggy Tom Hardy two-bit terrible Batman movie Bane. And no, we're not having a discussion on Batman movies because I care too much about them to hear an incorrect opinion.

Tom hardy batman is awesome dude. Idk what you talking bout. I never read comics but he's the man dude. Trap city. Wendler is proud.

  18. Like I said prior, stop what you're doing right now.

Tom Hardy as Bane: 5'9" 191

I'd have to lose 50 pounds to be "Bane"? Nope, I'm not worthy, Tom Hardy's not worthy.

    Here's real Bane:

Dude he did it in the movie, he also falcon punched the sht out of him. Bane was born into darkness, not adopted bro...

Who shoulda played him? The rock? Lol

All I'm saying is tom hardy is looking powerful. He gets all his authority from the traps. Did you not like the movie? It was killer IMO

We don't have to continue this , I'll leave it alone. But I thought it was a good bane and great movie. But like I said I never etched the cartoon or read comics.

Dude, if you're going to quote the movie, at least quote the fücking movie correctly. Somebody bigger than Dwayne Johnson would have been ideal, that's why Bane was a really tough decision to make into a live action movie. You need a Hafthor Bjornssen sized guy who can act as though they have an astronomical level of intelligence.

I've seen all of the Batman movies and nearly every episode of The Animated Series. The Animated Series and the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman movies are my favorite. Don't argue Batman with a guy who dressed up like Batman and climbed his wardrobe only to have it collapse on him as a young child. Guys like that tend to have strong feelings about Batman.

  22. Bane in the comics was 6'8" 350 pounds lol, Thor could've done it though; he's an actor now. (I guess he's gonna play a character in the game of thrones or something).

However, @herderdude, for the Dark Knight Rises movie they did use CGI to make Tom Hardy appear larger than he was so those stats aren't accurate with how he "looked" in the movie. Plus, most people don't want to see a guy that size at all, Hollywood nowadays is all about looking like you kinda work out, but not being massive.

Edit: and I'm not sure if those stats for bane are accurate because those movies weren't based upon the comics or TV shows, but we're based upon a series of graphic novels with a much darker tone than the original comics. So, it's possible that the series the movie scripts were based upon didn't have the massive Bane character that the comics had.

Herder did you like the movie or not? Sht was epic IMO. Some little things I no like... Devil in prada girl and stuff like that. But overall man it crazy good. Bane was my favorite villain

  24. I give it a "meh". Nothing like watching a heroic movie and coming out thinking "meh". Either give me "That was awesome!" OR "There was absolutely no storyline, but they blew the fück out of everything and threw down!" Rather too much action than wading through hours of story.

  25. Also, since when does Batman retire and then come back? Batman's not gonna quit on fighting crime just to come back. He's not freakin Brett Favre.

I'm the opposite. I need a plot. I don't like all that transformers bulk**** when you can just blow stuff up and it's a great movie.

And he left it for robin bro. He was beat up and it's time... He may return thou. Lol at farve line
