-I hadn’t done these before and tried a few different weights. They all felt effective, but 40lbs worked the targeted muscles best.

    Example

    BB Deadlift
    135x10
    225x10
    275x15
    315x12
    335x10

-At this point in the workout these were absolutely brutal.

    Kayak Row
    70x10
    70x10

    -5R/5L x2, 10F partials
Great workout brother. Those High pull low rows will be added to my workout tomorrow

It's one of the newer, high fiber, low net carb, "Quest like" bars that have been coming out (still has 8g net carbs coming from sugar). I tried cookie dough, which was pretty tasty, but not up there with Quest IMO. I've tried the VPX Life Lift cookie dough as well and wasn't a fan at all. It made me hesitant to try any of the other flavors. I was actually looking to get the white chocolate raspberry Quest bars, but they weren't available.

The store I mentioned before here in Toronto, now has CCCD Quest bars.. need to head over there this weekend and get some. I have seen these Victory bars online in Canada - and was going to order a box to try. But I think I will just buy some extra CCCD. Thanks for the mini-review.

Good to hear that they're finally available. I haven't had one in a couple months (they were sold out today). The Victory bar was good, but I'd definitely choose CCCD Quest out of the two. You should give them a shot sometime and see what you think. I'll let you know when I try PB Chip.

Sounds like a plan. I will actually see if I can find some singles to try. At this point the CDN retailer I saw only has cases.

  8. Ya I am picking up some CCCD and gonna grab the new WCR as well to try soon (probably today ). I have been working on getting my family to eat healthier and my sister loves the Quest Bars so I am getting her some since she has been consistent with her training and diet (but of course I am going to keep some all to myself ).

Let me know how WCR is. I wasn't happy when I got to the store and they weren't available . I actually just picked up some OxyELITE Protein today for my mother and sister. I made them a shake over the weekend (similar to the blueberry one that I made last week) and they were hooked. I've been getting them to exercise more and eat healthier as well. My mother is in her late 60's and knocking out sets of 6 ways with 2lb dumbbells lol.

  11. Ya I left them the last bit of my OxyElite PROtein to have to let me know if they like it enough to get more (I plan to get more myself).

My whole family squats on Mondays and deadlifts on Fridays. Usually lift 3 days a week with pretty much all the major movements. I've taught them well.

That's awesome. No big lifts for my mother or sister at this point.

They're about $2.50 for singles, but there are "buy 3 get 1 free" deals sometimes.

I had a solid chest/shoulder (pump) session this morning. My focus and endurance were on point and the pump was ridiculous (strongest chest/shoulder pump that I’ve had in a while). PRIME, VERSA-1, C20 (for the last week), Jack3d AF, extra calories, and carbs (including Glycofuse) are all treating me very well.

    Low Pulley Cable Flyes
    20x15
    25x15
    30x12
    40x12
    50x8

-pulling up and in to about chin level.

    -2 sec hard squeeze

-hit my upper chest very well

    Smith Incline Press
    130x30
    160x20
    180x15
    200x10, 160x10, 110x15 (wide grip)

    -20lbs bar resistance

    -~22 degree incline

-ROM: ~2’’ above chest to lockout

-I hadn’t done this in a while and forgot how painful it was. The pump was intense and I felt like my chest could pop.

Here are some quick tips to make these effective (and pain-free).

Incline Twist Press / Partial Dip
    60x8 / 10
    60x8 / 10
    60x8 / 10

-raised incline each set: ~22 degrees to ~45 degrees

-twist to neutral grip in stretched position / twist pinkies in at top of movement

Reverse Ladder Pushups / Band Over and Backs
    20, 10, 7 / 8
    14, 7, 5 / 8
    13, 6, 4 / 8

    - I came up with the “reverse” ladder pushup idea a few days ago, when planning my session.

-starting with feet elevated ~3 feet on bar / lowered 1 foot each partial set

-holding 20lb DBs for increased stretch/depth

-These felt amazing and destroyed my upper chest.

DB Bent-Over Lateral Raise / Spider Crawls
    15x25 / 3 (up and down wall = 1 rep)
    15x25 / 3
    15x25 / 3
    15x25 / 3

Band Pull-Aparts / Band Face Pulls
    20 / 15
    20 / 15
    20 / 15

    Horizontal Press / 6 ways
    5x10 / 8x12
    5x10 / 8x12
    5x10 / 8x12

Haven't tried Quest Bars though, and I don't expect to. I'm not a fan of protein bars (not the taste, just the principle).

Nice. I bet they love it. I'm seriously addicted to both flavors.

I think they're good for when you're on the go. That's why I bought a couple yesterday. I had no food and wasn't going home for a few hours. Some flavors are good for satisfying a sweet tooth as well (like CCCD).

Berry is pretty much a tie for my second favorite with pb&j.

Lol no need to be sorry. You can like whatever you want.

Oh I love the brownie. Sweet and salty. I liked vanilla almond crunch, but Berry Bliss was mediocre IMO.

Choc PB is up there at the top for me as well.

  30. They're all good.

The PB Chip Victory bar was pretty good as well. They have a soft consistency and look kind of rubbery (don't taste like it though), like laffy taffy, but thicker.
