I had planned on heading to the football field this morning, but the temperature was in the 30ís and it was raining. I went to the gym and had a solid arm session instead.
Cross Body Hammer Curls
2 warm-up x10
Rope Pushdowns (2 sec squeeze)
-20 secs between supersets
Fat EZ Preacher Curl (3sec negative/bar weight not included)
HS Seated Dip (3 sec negative)
Incline Concentration Curls
Lying KB Extensions
Fat BB Drag Curl (bar weight not included)
Example for anyone unfamiliar:
Elbows Out Extensions / BW Extensions (against standing preacher)
35x10 / 15
35x8 / 10
35x8 / 9
35x7 / 8
Bike: 15 mins

Nice lifts breezy. I haven't tried those drag curls in quite a while. Will have to try em out again next arm session

We ended up with the full mixed bag over the last 24 hours... rain, snow, freezing rain, and some hail (this one while I was half way through my run last night - lovely)...

I kept my leg session very similar to last week’s. I added some weight to a couple lifts and worked on improving my form/technique with others.
Lying Leg Curl
2 warm-up x20
Box Jumps (2’/~20sec rest)
5 sets of 3 with 30lb dumbbells
BB Back Squat
Speed Squats (1min rest)
6 sets of 4 @ 315lbs
-I made a lot of improvement, but still need to work on them.
Pause Squats (narrow stance/7sec pause)
-I had one of the trainers timing my pause. He was very loud, which brought some extra attention and added pressure.
-I probably could've gotten the 5th rep on the final set, but it would've been ugly.
Sissy Squat (stand/2sec hold)
3 sets of BWx8
-These are brutal if leaning back far enough.
Kettlebell Walking Lunges (weight per kettlebell)

How is it doing box jumps with dumbells like that? It seems like it would be terribly awkward using anything but a weighted vest.

Try reppin 135 out for one set 50 times and don't stop until you hit 50. You'll hate yourself.
There's a friendly push/pull at my gym in Bellrica in June. You should swing by and do it. I know it's not your style but its just for fun.
