Seated Leg Curl
120x8, x25 partials
-very strict form
BB Back Squat (explosive)
2 warm-up x10
6 sets of 275x6
-I wasn’t concerned about the weight with these at all. My main goal was to make sure that each rep was as explosive as possible. I maintained the ability to accelerate throughout the entire ROM with the weight used. I may increase the weight if I do these again next week.
Leg Press (escalating set)
630x10, x10 partials
-constant tension (no *******) until changing weight
-This was done as one set with quick rest periods while I added more weight. I had planned on having someone add plates every 4 reps (while I paused) until failure, but I didn’t have the option. This approach did the trick though and brought on an intense pump. I’ll probably add partials at each weight next time.
Leg Extensions / Quad stretch
130x10 (explosive/2 sec hold and squeeze at top) / 10 sec stretch
120x15 (explosive/2 sec hold and squeeze at top) / 20 sec stretch
110x20 (smooth ROM), stand up 5 sec, sit back down 110x15 partials (out of bottom) / 30 sec stretch
-I’m not a big fan of leg extensions, but these were awesome. I couldn’t believe how painful it was by the end.
-Stretch was done by resting top of foot on leg ext. pad and knee on the ground. I was going to use a bench, but it was convenient and worked great.
DB Stiff-Legged Deads
Standing Calf Raise / Dorsiflexion
10 reps, hold at top 10 sec, x3 (30 total reps) / 50
10, 10, 10 / 45
-I don’t know the weight used.
-I normally do calves twice a week, but never mention it.

4 omega eggs
3oz roast turkey
2 strips uncured peppered turkey bacon
1 spicy jalapeno chicken sausage
3/4 cup mixed peppers
1tbs Kerrygold (grass fed) butter
South African Smoke seasoning (always cook my eggs with it)
1/4 cup pepper jack cheese (not shown)
I had a Quest bar as well.

I have only had a few flavors of Quest Bars. My local *** store has em and went in a few times to get some, might go there right now actually to grab some . Not sure what flavors they have though.

I buy them out of the back of a nutrition store in Toronto. They said until something is changed on the label they cannot sell them 'storefront'.. at least they do not charge tax that way either though!!!! I think the only flavor I did not like was coconut, and the chocolate brownie wasnt a fav either. Of course, cannot get cookie dough yet..

Yuuuum. I had me a very similar meal today, sorta. Bacon wrapped chicken breast with Avacado/ basil/ pine nut/ olive oil pesto in between the bacon and chicken with 2 cups mixed veges.

Today was my first go at chest and shoulders together and I loved it. I'm going to have the time of my life with this new training split.
Decline DB Press (slight decline using 25lb plates)
2 warm-up x8
-1 sec stretch at bottom/1 sec flex at top
BB Flat Bench (1 sec pause/ explosive)
3 warm-up x5
-I wanted every rep as explosive as possible. I could've stayed at 185lbs, but the last rep on the 3rd set didn't "feel" explosive enough.
Incline BB Bench (slight incline using 25lb plates)
2 warm-up x6
-ROM: ~2 inches above chest to ¾ *******
Ladder Pushups (starting with stretch pushups)
20, 8, 8
21, 9, 8
-stretch pushup: feet on flat bench/holding dumbbells
-1st set stopped ~2 reps from failure on each partial set. 2nd set all to failure.
DB Lateral Raise (seated)
1 warm-up x10
-very strict form
-I felt a little trap involvement/shrug on the last couple reps at 20lbs, so I lowered weight. I wanted to make sure it was 100% delt work.
Cage Press (explosive/2 sec squeeze)
3 warm-up x5
-I set the bar back down on the pins each rep, reset, and pressed explosively. First time using this approach and it felt awesome.
Incline DB Swings (destroyer set)
10x10 (full ROM)
40 mins LISS later

Good looking workout breezy. Never have tried Chest and Shoulders together. Combining the two though does make perfect sense .
How you did the Cage Presses, is exactly how I did them. Really felt awesome.
