  1. CUT

    Hello guys,
I'm at 12/13 of bodyfat and I want to get 10%. Do you think it is best to take action on macros, lower carbs and raise fat, raise protein and lower carbs or make days with high carbohydrates and low carb carbohydrates?
What approach do you use? And do you think about products like SlinMax?

  2. If you are not currently tracking macros, I would do so. Tracking macros and caloric intake can make a big change alone, especially if are are trying to cut and over estimating how much you are eating.

I am not a fan of low carb diets. I personally believe most people do not need to follow one and carbs have so many benefits attributed to them. I would opt for carb cycle. I carb cycle no matter if I am bulking or cutting. Below is a good article to get you started.

    https://www.t-nation.com/diet-fat-lo...-cycling-codex
    https://www.scribd.com/doc/233225345...-Cycling-Guide

    I love that T-Nation article.

SlinMax or any type of GDA may be useful during a cut. I like SlinMax when bulking, but it is great when cutting to reduce bloating, improve digestion, and shuttle glucose away from fat cells. If you were to look up which ingredients are great for nutrient partioning, you would find that people will suggest ingredients found in SlinMax. The ingredients are full dosed. Currently Nutriverse has 20% off SlinMax when you add it to your cart and then you can use coupon code AM5 to save an additional 5%

    Have you calculated your TDEE?

  3. Thank you . My TDEE is 2390 kcal. How do you split macros on training days? How much carbo for a cut without losing a lot of lean mass?
    I'm 44, ectomorphic

  4. Did you look over the first article? It will answer all your questions.

No...Unless retaining muscle is not one of your cutting goals.

    Explain.

You think retaining muscle while cutting should not be a priority?

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Creatine always. It will help with your strength, which in turn, will help maintain lean mass.

First if you don't loose muscle on a cut! As soon as you put more back macros in guess what happens?? You get everything back almost instantly.

Secondly creatine is NOT a steriod. The effects it has is miniscule. It won't make a difference on keeping muscle even if you truly were loosing it. If it did than why don't they just give creatine to people with muscle degenerative diseases??!!??

Thirdly it will hold water weight! This bad? No, but in later stages of the cut you may not want to hold on to that.

Not saying you shouldn't take it while cutting, but don't fool yourself into thinking it it's something it's not.

Yes creatine is good! If you are serious about your gym efforts you will take it year round other than maybe on stage or photo shoot. But it is what it is, its not a steriod. Also the misnomer that we loose muscle on a cut needs to die.

Are you saying we actually lose real muscle cells in 4,816,etc week cut???(not talking muscle size but real muscle)

Or are you sizing that creatine is so strong that it can prevent you from loosing muscle mass??? If that was the case why doesn't that work for people with muscle degenerative diseases???

Or are you saying creatine doesn't make you hold more water???

    😒

Never asnwerd my questions! Or were you just trying to be a dick to be a dick?!?

As muscle cells are just like fat cells. You don't loose them, they just shrink. Once giving proper stimuli they quickly return to their biggest state!

So shut your god damn mouth until, you know what you are fuking talking about. I don't mind being wrong or having a grown up debate. But when you act childish like this and add nothing to the conversation I'm gonna be pissed.

  19. Should definitely take creatine all the time.

Are you talking about your comments about cell sizes?

    All of them

Okay well I mean, I agree. Body cells shrink. Fat, muscle, etc. That's why it's so easy to get fat for most people.

  24. Sorry to break it to you but fat cells do multiply. If the organism is oversaturated with fat hyperplasia will occur. Which is why its really hard to get lean but super easy to get fat. Anabolism is an increase in the number of muscle cells. In laymens terms it's easy to think of it as a balloon. It can only grow to a certain size.

  25. And after they multiply and you lose weight the bastards stay there and as soon as you overindulge they all fill up again and the weight goes back on fast, as I keep on finding out during holiday periods!!
