Stuck on nutrition!

Hey guys, I'm new to this site! I currently weigh in at around 11st7! I'm desperate to lose around a stone or 2. I've been on and off my training, (I do kick boxing) but last couple weeks I've got right stuck in. I tend to go around 4/5x week (depends how many days off I have in work) and I'm on the weights as my ideal goal is to shred fat and gain lean body muscle. I squat with 60kg (bar across my shoulders with added weight) but main thing I'm stuck on is diet! I'm on protein shakes for recovery after training and usually have porridge for breakfast. Tea then I usually have chicken with some veg. Am I doing everything right or has anyone got some advice for me? Thanks in advance.
