Peanut Butter and Weight Loss

I truly enjoy peanut butter and this info really caught my attention:

Peanut Butter is a product which is quite high in calories and it’s packed with those heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that can increase your body’s production of testosterone, which can help your muscles grow and your fat melt. A source shows that during an experiment, people who used peanut butter into their diet maintained weight loss better than those on low-fat plans. Another recent study (Illinois) demonstrated that diners, who had monounsaturated fats before a meal, ate 25 percent fewer calories through that meal than those who didn’t.

Peanut Butter also works because it’s a quick and versatile snack and of course it tastes very good. Since a diet that includes a treat like peanut butter doesn’t leave you feeling deprived, it’s easier to follow and will not make you weak in front of other cravings. Use it on an apple or to add flavor to potentially bland smoothies. You can’t stuff yourself on it because of its fat content and you must limit yourself to about 3 tablespoons per day. It is important to look for all-natural peanut butter, not the mass-produced brands that have added sugar.

Archaic, dietary fat = body fat statement leads me to believe the author is a bit behind

Eating before a meal reducing subsequent caloric intake is not specific to monounsaturated fats. The same thing has been demonstrated with a group eating an apple prior to their meal.

Also, going from fat to testosterone to fat loss is an extremely tenuous pathway which will always be overruled by total caloric intake.
