Cramping is the biggest. Thirst is one. Quick muscle fatigue.

I heard on the news that once you are thirsty this is considered dehydration (very mild), so drink all the time as to avoid thirst.

I've been dehydrated to the point that I passed out (much thanks to cutting weight for wrestling prior to a tournament)...and here's what I felt:

    1. severe cramping in extremeties (arms, legs) and abdomen

    2. muscle weakeness and tremors (shaking as if on a bad ephedrine rush)

    3. nausea

    4. dizziness

    5. eventual unconciousness (blacking out)

In that order (for me anyway) I will never forget it.

I only passed out for a few seconds and then I mustered as much energy as I could to get my water bottle 5 feet away...it felt like I was crawling across a football field. I drank a couple gulps of water, removed as much clothing as I could in my condition (could only get off my sweats)...the trainer took my core temperature (via the rectum) and found it to be 104.7 .... they packed all kinds of ice onto me and I sipped at water as fast as I could without puking it back up.

I was very fortunate that I recovered very quickly and was back to semi-normal in less than 10 minutes, by the time the ambulance arrived I was able to walk (with slight assistance).

The moral of the strory, kids.....DRINK WATER!!!!
