Liver IV - Powerful cycle support for optimal liver health

Liver IV is an advanced cycle support product that aids in liver regeneration and function. If you're taking pro-hormones, injectable or oral anabolic steroids, designer steroids, SERMS (Selective estrogen receptor modulators), or SARMS (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators), you should be taking some level of liver support as they can all be liver toxic. At certain doses, alcohol and some drugs like Tylenol (Acetaminophen) may be liver toxic as well. These substances induce stress on the liver while they are processed and metabolized.

Symptoms that your liver is under stress include: chronic fatigue, loss of appetite, apathy, depression, bloating and trouble losing weight. If you have experienced any of these symptoms while on a cycle, you may immensely benefit from a liver support product. Liver IV is intended for advanced users who are taking high doses of anabolic compounds or oral cycling products. Beginner or intermediate users may benefit from a lower dosed product (coming soon!)

What makes Liver IV so effective?

Liver IV contains a blend of three powerful and proven liver support ingredients:

Tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA)
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, also known as TUDCA, is naturally occurring substance found in large amounts in bear bile (fluid produced by the liver that aids the digestion of lipids in the small intestine). TUDCA is also found in trace amounts in humans. TUDCA is chemically similar to another compound called Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). TUDCA is simply the OH group replaced with a taurine group, take a look:

What's so significant about this? UDCA is the only FDA approved drug to treat primary biliary cirrhosis (cirrhosis is chronic liver damage leading to scarring and liver failure). Unfortunately, UDCA is obtained only through a doctor's prescriptions.

The good news is, TUDCA is still available to be marketed as a supplement. Even better news, in a controlled study, patients taking TUDCA showed marked improvement in liver function as reflected through several indicators such as total bilirubin, GGT, ALT and AST (Further Reading 1). TUDCA has also been shown as a promising compound to treat insulin resistance - insulin is crucial to your body building muscle, so you don't want to be insulin resistant! (Further Reading 2). The "FDA" of China has even approved TUDCA as a treatment for cholesterol stones.

A lot of heavy reading, but this all mounts to one conclusion: TUDCA has been shown to be an effective substance for treating and preventing liver and gall problems. Hence TUDCA is a crucial part of your cycle regiment as a liver support product. TUDCA has seen growing support among bodybuilding circles, but it's high cost of production has limited widespread availability. We are strong advocates of it's efficacy and believe it's benefits far outweighs it's cost.

If you're on any type of anabolic, androgenic or supplement cycle, we strongly suggest you pick up some liver support for optimal body health!

Milk Thistle
Silymarin is the main active ingredient in milk thistle and has shown to have both anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Multi-year studies from Europe suggest milk thistle improved liver function and decreased the number of deaths in people with liver disease (Further Reading 3). The nonprofit medical practice and medical research group Mayo Clinic classifies milk thistle as a B Grade: Good scientific evidence for this use. We suspect that if a substance is given a A Grade: Strong scientific evidence for this use, then it would most likely be classified as a drug and unavailable for sale as dietary supplement. So we consider the B grade as close to pharmaceutical efficacy as possible!

The U.S. National Library of Medicine has several dozen articles and studies regarding the benefits of milk thistle, including, but not limited to, it's ability to detoxification and regenerate liver tissue (Further Reading 4). Milk thistle is a must have ingredient in any liver support supplement.

N-Acetyl L-Cysteine - (NAC)
Also known as NAC or N-acetylcysteine, N-Acetyl L-Cysteine is a compound that is made from L-Cysteine, a BCAA/essential amino acid that has anti-aging and immune system health benefits. But more interestingly, NAC Is listed on World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines. As a medication, NAC is used for the treatment of acetaminophen (Tylenol) overdose. NAC's ability to reduce the risk of liver toxicity by 97% shows that it is a strong liver support agent. NAC helps liver regeneration by boosting glutathione levels and neutralizing toxins.
