    so im boiling this down....

fewer calories=less degregdation of the telomeres=healthier aging=lowered risk for cancer=i die older=i look younger when I die...

now how does reducing calories enduce these benefits??

or is it true cause science daily says so?

I think mental and emotional wellness plays a big role in longevity as well...something that mice don't have to worry about. I'm all for living longer and healthier, I just don't see how taking in fewer calories will assist in that. Now exercise, proper diet, happy love life/family, spiritual growth (in whatever beliefs you hold), staying active, and an overall acceptance of self and purpose...I think these make up the important ingredients to a longer, healthier life. But that's just my opinion...I don't have any science to back it up.

lol...It's actually a raven (my oldest daughter's name) with a drop shadow. Hard to see the detail in that pic! But no it's not waxed...just shaved. :-)

If you can increase the length and longevity of telomeres then it actually does help the health of your cells. A telomere shortens each time a damaged cell replicates. The telomere acts as sort of a repair agent for these damaged cells. Once the telomere can No longer repair the cell...you start replicating damaged cells. At least this is my understanding.

So what we need is telomere supplementation...when they gonna start making THAT?
