    Quick Recipe Question

    Fixing to order HB supplies

    Just have a quick question??

In the recipe listed in the above sticky, after completion is this a gel/lotion (using a pump bottle) or a liquid spray (using a pump spray bottle)

I'm really want a final product with lotion consistency or gel like!!!

Also what would be good product's to tighten up (more gel like) or loosen up (more liquid like) if one felt their homebrew was too far to one side..

    Any info greatly appreciated!!!

Sorry i didn't see this earlier. I apologise. The recipe a bove is liquid forn and should be used in a spray bottle. If you want to gel it use carbomer 940... Hope that helps.. talk to ya.... But you may want to alter the formula and add some 5% d-lim and reduce the IMP to 25%.. the d-lim helps with gelling... Talk to ya..

    Thanks for the info....

I've already ordered the supplies exactly as listed above, and of course I ordered 240 ounce bottles with Lotion pump heads...

So what do you bros recommend... Should I just order a couple of spray heads for those bottles and go with the spray type mix.. Or make a lotion type product???

It seems that I have read several posts on different boards regarding overspray and loss of product???

Curt??... I saw the % for the D-Lim, but how would one add the carbomer??? In what %'s and with a decrease in what other product???

    Appreciate the help???

The carbomer is added to the final solution.. Only add about 1g and that should gel it.... Talk to ya... There is thread s about adding the carbomer somewhere.... Talk to ya..

    Appreciate the help..

Will order the D-Lim & the Carbomer tonight...

Will definetly be ordering the T-Gel, instead of all the HB supplies, once the gateway is open to credit purchases...

    I know.. Lazy azz....

Just curious... I am thinking of making the homebrew mentioned.

Not sure of the consistency/measureability of the pumped amount....but have you seen the "liquid hair mousse" in the stores? It is liquid inside the bottle, but when you pump it out it comes out as a foam. Is it the bottle itself that makes it come out this way or the property of the dispensed product? and would it work with the more liquidy brew?

Thought it might decrease the amount wasted due to overspray.

it's an airation head on the bottles, however you have to have a liquied that foams up when airated

Thanks, that's what I was wondering as I have seen other products with the same foaming (first-aid, hand cleaning, as well as mousse)...is there some kind of agent that can be added to allow for foaming that you know of?  I think it would be easier to apply than the gel, and less wasteful than the spray.

    Mixture

    Just thought I would update...

The homebrew spray is very easy to use.. No runoff as it is more oily in nature than I expected.. I feel that it is certainly easier to get spread thinly using this method...

Two weeks in... The burn is my friend
