Sick after leg day.

  1. Sick after leg day.

I only hit legs once a month, I have big legs already so I donít feel the need to do so more ( I used to play high school football and was able to squat over 600lbs) I can still hit 495 for 3 reps, but Litterly every time I hit legs the next day I feel sick, Fever, sore throat, stuffy nose, etc. anyone know why this happens?

Sounds like your immune system is being taxed. I bet if you increase leg day frequency, it wont be such a shock to your system. Your cortisol may be spiking significantly after your leg day, if it is an intense leg day. If I take off legs, and then hit legs, it is a shock to my system.

Your immune system is not gonna crap out because of a single leg workout, that's absolutely rediculous

That's rediculous man. If your immune system is doing that because of a single leg workout then you have some serious issue going on that needs to be tended to.

  7. When's the last time you had a full check up and bloodwork?

  8. Honestly this happens to me as well when I start a new program. I tend to get flu like symptoms for 2 days and then it goes away. It's always been like this and I've been at it for 25 years.

  9. A really good leg workout can do that to anybody who isnít used to weekly leg work. This is one reason why I choose to do legs twice a week at a lower volume but higher intensity. Get that mess over with lol
