the same day and wow is it taxing.

Now do: bench, row, overhead press, lat pull down, dips, row, pecs, curls, rear deltoid or tricep ext., reverse grip pull down and then burned out

Previously had no problem completing a dedicate push or pull routine on separate days and had enough mojo for more but now all in one day, home to eat and sleep.

I do do 45-60min hardcore spinning before weights.

I see why it is better to do splits.

I used to do an upper and lower split for a while, i enjoyed but it was just too much, especially if i didnt get enough sleep the day before it was pretty hard to get a good lift in

I've never had too much luck doing push/pull on the same day. I generally split up back/bi's with chest/tri's in order to maintain this split. It seems to help me with gains overall. Although if I do skip a day I'll combine the two and it is death lol!
