When I train I like to use what I guess would be considered a powerbuilding type program I like to do my first few exercises more for strength ex. 5x5 and then accessories I would like to get stronger in the main lifts ex. Bench/squat/deadlift/weighted chin-ups etc I work a 3 day split and repeat it and have the last day of the week off however I just strained my chest about two weeks ago I'm pretty sure it's from hammering my chest to hard seeing as its my fav day does any one else use a heavier week and than a lighter week.so for example first week still do my heavier sets 3-5 reps and second week keep them in a 8-12 range? I apologize for the lengthy post
