I have been training for about 4 years. Have done 5 shows. The past 1-11/2 years muscle soreness had deminished. I know being sore doesn't have anything to do with overload/growth. Is this normal? I've read where if you have been training for years and years some people just don't get sore anymore. I do get doms in my legs. But as far as chest/back/arms it's rare.regardless of how much volume/weights/deload/rest it doesn't make any difference. I push myself every training session.

I get sore each time I switch routines and have been lifting for 23 years. Anytime I am hitting a muscle group differently than is expected, that happens for a short period of time. It diminishes quickly, but is there.

I usually only get sore after taking a week off or drastically changing something... definitely not all that common for me to be very sore.

Changing routines or even jsut exercises can get me a little bit, but like kisaj said, its short lived.

I hardly ever get sore, except for like the others have said. A new routine or taking time off will usually do it, especially for legs.

I will be sore/cramping the night of a workout but I will wake up and feel fine. My friend on the other hand is sore for days at a time, he's been training the same time as me and is very similar to me experience wise.

Been lifting consistent for 12 years and every single time I still get sore on chest and legs. Back doesn't get as sore and my shoulder never does.

I guess everyone is different, every body isn't the same. As long as I am stimulating the muscle and growing all is good!

I dont get sore unless I dont eat and sleep which is very unlikely to happen, although life has its own rules.
