Just got my shoulder and lat taped up by my sport Chiro.. Feels awesome. Thoughts on this? I've heard mixed opinions RE effectiveness / validity

I got it a bunch of times during physical therapy from tommy john surgery. I thought it helped. Pretty cool stuff

Its a good aid but shouldn't be relied on.

I'm a huge believer. Just got taped the other day for a neck strain. To me it instantly feels like the area that is taped, is warmed up and ready to go!

Kinesio tape is pretty effective for what it is meant for. I actually just was at a lecture on it not to long ago. The major physiological effects they discussed were that is decreases pressure and inflammation, increases superficial lymphatic flow to reduce edema, relieves pain and enhances ROM, and improved alignment through balancing the agonist and antagonist muscles. I have not checked out many studies to determine how effective it actually is, but the lecture was performed by a physical therapy department of a decorated heath network.
