Ok, it's not like I decided to just outdo last week's DL's.
This is still a pr though.
405x6
Congrats on that pullin'
8 Big Wheels is always a fun thing, especially for reps...!

Did it just sound silent or are you actually able to lay down 405 silently every rep?

Good pullin! I watched the last vid you posted as well, and these actually look much better! Full lockout and better back(just being picky). Nicely done!

must've been the iphone, not good with picking up direct sound, they tend to pick up all sounds in the room and balance them.
I was clanging. I don't really do a dead drop like some people do on deads. I aim for a soft landing.

Are you saying I went to full lockout or should have?
Also, confused on the "better back".

I don't mind constructive criticism, so if there's something you saw, lemme know. (seriously)
I did my best to come to full upright, as I really don't want to move into hyperextension with previous back issues.

i was saying that your lifts at 405 look much better than the one you posted at 315. Better control and better lock out at the top.

Guess I'll set a goal of 405 for 7 clean reps then :147:

touch n go is fine if form stays tight, hip height is individual, just look at Rich "Ant" Hawthorn...hips high as fük, holds world record in his weight class.

Not that I mirror his form but I do watch his videos for tips. I'd obviously need a firsthand critique from him to truly know wherei stand
if you subscribe to his YouTube channel, dude answered back a question of mine in about 2 hours!! His form is different than how a lot of big dudes lift, but he's 135lbs lifting 600+....I'll take his advice

Link? I'm a little lazy and on my phone right now. Close to throwing it from all the damn autocorrections.

The biggest thing to remember on form, (especially the max loads, since doing form vids on weights that are lighter or w/u's mean almost nothing, if the form changes as the weight gets heavier or nears max) be it higher hipped pulling or whatever, is, you have to be in total control of that form and the back with the muscles and be able to hold the form. If one starts losing control of the form, or has the form crashing to a point that you're past your controlled usual flexion or extension areas, you get in trouble, because at that point, the weight is in control and not you or your muscle structure.

sorry, I use my phone too. Just search him on YouTube, I'm pretty sure his channel is the first one. If not, look on animal pak's channel, he's on there too. Great stuff

Scratch the touch and go, keep the bar closer to your body, and keep your shins more vertical. Your arms are relatively short for your frame and you'll be more bent at the hips because of this.

touch n go seems to be a big debate I see with a lot of guys. Your opinions??

Reset each rep, especially if using a DL bar.
i gathered that, just wondering why? Is it because you feel the probability of bad form is higher, or just not a fan?

Momentum is usually transferred from the floor, which isn't ideal. Like you alluded, it'll also exacerbate any flaws in form in the upper back area and potentially the lumbar.
