Trying to work HIIT into my traning schedule but i train 5 days a week with weights... I was wondering if doing HIIT the day after squatting is plausible idea.

I dont want to get weaker...

I think it might be intriguing because the prowler has no eccentric portion within the pushing movement... I also think it will force blood in there which should be good....

that being said, i am a computer programmer, not a performance specialist..

Right now i squat once a week, i do not want to get weaker...

Wish I had one at my gym. I just use my 88 lb x-vest when I walk to the gym, to work, and around town. 2 mi a day or so of walking with that thing is all the cardio I need haha.

New gym has one.... Its pretty impressive... First couple of plates on warmup you think its a joke... After you get up in weight ( i sprint with it) it gets fun...

Honestly helped beat out some soreness and always felt increasingly better with some foam rolling action after as well.

The subject of hitting the same muscles multiple days in a row has been a pretty recent topic on another thread as well. After seeing all the responses there, the general consensus was seemingly geared to the "listen to your body" theory. You need to give your muscles time to heal in order to get stronger and allow for growth, but if you are feeling good, go for it. You'll know when to call it quits.
Prowler work is going to hit your legs (as well as the rest of you) in a pretty different way than squats, and help with explosive strength.
Although, if it is giving you trouble/soreness, it should be easy to plan it around squat day while giving your body ample rest.

Heavy prowler the same day as squats, light prowler for recovery the day after squats, light prowler on upper body days. Limit to 4x/week on the ol' prowler, and obviously work up to that point, don't just dive in. Adding conditioning will make you weaker at first, but your work capacity will rise to the occasion and build a foundation for more strength. Elite FTS has a million good prowler articles.

I work the prowler into each leg workout at the end. I work legs twice a week and it has only improved my lifts. Explosiveness out of the hole was the main noticeable difference, outside of the overall fitness aspect. My gym has a push and a pull, so I start with a 2 plate 100 yard dash, alternating between pushing and pulling. Eventually working up to 6 plates and usually I end up barely being able to walk back to my truck and my heart pounding out of my chest. It's great.
